All tackles? Are you practicing all types of tackles?

I just can't anymore. Can we get to the point where we fire him and bring in a leader of men.

I got just the guy.  He can fix anything.

Clip #10 is wild. Putting Nolan out in space pre-snap! With no disguise!

He actually does a good job covering. Great throw/catch.

Yeah as much as I hated to see it unfold, he actually had pretty good coverage. Was a really nice catch and a great throw.

Nolan might make a decent linebacker with his speed.. he’s not going to make it as a DE

Agreed. He’s not an EDGE.

The Defensive Captain, Ladies and Gentleman.

I'm sure this will go over very well inside the locker room. Good thing CJGJ is known to be level headed and not react in any negative way.

If I were the eagles id look to trade Slay ASAP, hes a cancer, if theres no market just cut him.

You don't build your offense around a running back.  Tennessee got nothing out of doing it with Henry all those years.  49ers had a cute little run basing it all on Mccaffery's unique skill set, he somehow stayed healthy for a while, and now that circus has packed up and left town.

Likewise, we'll get 2 years out of watching Barkley dominate for a flawed offense while the team goes nowhere and then that show will get cancelled too.

In the playoffs you eventually need your QB to step up and make plays but this team can win a lot of games in the regular season relying on Saquon assuming that the defense isn’t actually as bad as we saw yesterday. They need to take the ball out of Hurts’s hands until he can get the turnovers under control. They’re obviously not going to bench him but the game plan moving forward cannot rely on him until he proves otherwise.

Not sure the offense is built around a RB, the eagles O when healthy is still stacked, you take away any qbs two top targets and his best OL and hes going to struggle.

Im not absolving hurts of all blame hes had his lows but lets not act like this offense is Barkley or bust.

Theyll be fine when healthy, its the Defense that worries me the most.

Re Howie: we've been through several life cycles with this guy.  We've seen him embarrass himself and then embarrass the rest of the NFL...and then do both again.  But just like a QB or an edge, the guy has his own well established strengths and weaknesses.

+ He knows when to pull the plug...with coaches and with QBs.

+ Once the plug is pulled, he knows how to roll up his sleeves and get to work.  He's outstanding at unloading toxic assets while stockpiling and snowballing both draft and cap capital.

- He has consistently been terrible at maintaining top end rosters.  He can build up to the top quickly, but it usually comes crashing down quickly too.  He can literally maintain the roster...lock up players and maintain the foundation, but he just flat out can't draft well enough to actually maintain the talent.

+ Up until the Huff mess, he has been outstanding in selecting young, emerging UFA's to spend good money on.

- After 2017, his pick for player trades have been pretty terrible.  Slay was a good one (present situation notwithstanding).  Tate, Avery, Quinn, Byard, and now Dotson...that's lighting draft picks on fire.  People used to joke asking why GM's even pick up when Howie calls.  Howie may do well for himself moving up and down on draft day, but GM's probably love it when he calls asking about one of their players.

Most frustrating thing?

The NFC is hot garbage. If we had an actual QB we could sleep walk to the SB.

We could have Mahomes and it wouldn't matter with this defense (for this year).

I was giving till the bye for the offense to get on track due to the new OC and some moving pieces along the OL (no Kelce). The injuries kind of screwed that up unfortunately. Hopefully we get some guys back and they start progressing in this new system.

Damn. Pete Rose and Dikembe on the same day.

Mohommes and hurts have almost identical   numbers so far through 4 games, so why is KC undefeated and philly ,2-2?

Because KC has a defense, they dont have elite players all over the field but Spags runs a good scheme and his players are well coached.

Ill never understand why after so much success under JJ and his aggressive D the eagles went away from that and went in the total opposite direction of that philosophy ?

It's the defense for sure as that scheme blows.  Soft zone with no pass rush and weird AF gap (loss of) control.  It's dumb.  Rush 5 and press coverage. Speed the game up and make them beat you. Don't just give it away.

But the offensive scheme was dumb AF in light of the injuries.  The game plan 100% should have been dink dunk slants, RB screens, mesh and 40 runs by committee.

Going forward there is no reason not to run SB behind that line.  Especially, w Hurts feeling all that pressure and turning it over so much.  Simpler is better.

Siriani and his football ideologies are atrocious. He has no identity to hang his hat on either side did the ball. The defense he wants to play is soft and does nothing to help his players.

This team had their chance when they blew it against the Chiefs - he’s relied heavily on elite playmakers on offense to carry his malpractice. Theres maybe 3 coaches in the NFL who would have the same or worse record with this roster over the last 2 seasons.

At some point you need to grasp the Hurts is mediocre and wont win us anything

I’m still not all the way out on Huff. No edge rusher will look good when the ball is out of the QBs hand consistently, and offenses can mix up the run vs the pass because there’s no perimeter run support due to DBs being 10 yards away at all times. Only QBs who "want to do too much” are beatable with our defense. Any QB who can make the easy play will dice us up every single time.

Siriani had scapegoats in his DC’s last year instead of understanding the scheme is absolute garbage. He’s the most useless coach in the NFL - doesn’t call plays, doesn’t make adjustments, doesn’t improve in any way year over year. This man has a pro-bowl roster on offense for 3 seasons - and grabs the worse defensive coordinators to play prevent for 4 quarters to make sure his offense doesn’t get the ball lol.
