Adams in that Kliff offense is a weird fit, but Adams is so good it would work.

They have $25M this year and $121M next year, so yes, they certainly have the space

OK, so why did you continue to play off 88% of the snaps? Make the adjustment numbnuts.

Master of the Obvious.

Thanks Coach!

Sounds like Yates is just making an educated guess but if Adams lands on the Commanders, they might officially be a problem in the NFCE.

They also have a spare 3rd laying around they acquired somehow right before the season.

Watch them out Howie Howie and turn the 3rd into Adams

And he wanted to go there instead of staying with Rodgers lol

Grass isn't always greener.  And in LV... they can't even grow grass.

Eagles have no one to blame but themselves. What else could they have expected given this coaching structure mess they created? You can't strip a guy of his previous job responsibilities, have his job on the hot seat and not expect him to just stay out of the way. Of course he's going to do what he thinks is right to show his worth, even if it just creates more problems.

Murphy's Law seems to be about ready to hit in full force.

If there's a way for Sirianni to make it wrong, he will find it.   And then he'll just try to Tush Push it out of the way.

I mean he could have thrown it to Gainwell underneath who might have picked up the 1st down.  This is just a ridiculous lack of preparation for the game.

Jalen doesn't use check downs.

I wavered back and forth on it a lot at the end of last season and decided it probably would have been the wrong decision to let him go one year removed from a Super Bowl. But like you said, when you basically castrate someone of their responsibilities it's hard for that not to take a toll the following year which is where we are now. They were certain to face some sort of adversity this year and they're in that spot now. If the losses started to pile up, they lost two in a row, etc, everyone knew they would come for Nick's head, things would fester in the locker room which we're seeing, and the seat would only get warmer. That's the spot Lurie decided to put this team in this year. It feels inevitable at this point that he's gone so they might as well have done it at the end of last season.

I’m positive there’s not a baseball team i hate more than the Mets. The Braves are up there. But Mets, i hate their team and the fans like i hate the cowboys and their fans

If they wanted to keep him for another year I would have disagreed but understood why they did that. But if you do that, you let him either overcome it on his own or fail on his own. Now that doesn’t mean you don’t hire an OC because obviously he needs one. But you leave it up to Nick to fix it. And if you don’t have confidence he can, then why are you retaining him?

This feels like one of those times the FO thinks they are smarter than everyone else so they do unconventional things thinking it will work which barely ever do. And the thing is they already saw this approach fail when they wanted more motion so brought in Scangarello and forced him on Doug.

Personally, I’m a firm believer that a coach should have full autonomy of his staff. This business of Howie and Lurie dictating coordinators really has me concerned for our long term coaching hires. I’m not banking on the next coach having a QB on a rookie contract who has an MVP caliber season for a 3rd time taking us to another Super Bowl. I do fear the next HC is just going to be in the Doug Pederson/Nick Sirianni mold again. A coach Lowie can dictate coaching staff decisions to, which limits us going forward.

what does he do? I can't name a single WR outside of DeVonta Smith or AJ Brown who has improved or even played well under him as a coach.

Wrong answers only) Who is this, and what powers does he possess? : r/eagles

Have they actually improved since they got here?

I think AJ Brown has, but I think his improvement is more of him just becoming a gym rat and becoming an incredible physical specimen rather than becoming a better WR.

This is a more pass happy offense than Tennessee where they actually used the Running game.   So, I don't see him as much 'better' in terms of talent, but more productive.

Not only are they limited to the Doug/Nick types, I think that's what they want.  They went big game hunting for a strong-minded HC with a comprehensive plan in Chip...and not only did the plan blow up and fail, but that HC ended up biting their hand as they fed him.

The Dougs and Nicks of the world allow them the ability to float into the x's and o's of the football world without accountability.  Maybe I've got my tinfoil hat on, but I really think they want impressionable, softer coaches who are just happy for the job and don't mind someone in their ear.  We know Doug got fired after initially surviving the HC chopping block because he wouldn't let them make the staff decisions...whereas Siri is content to let everyone else do everything.

Look how Fangio's system has been here through countless DC's before Fangio even got here.  Unless they do a 180 (which they have been known to do), we aren't going to get a coach who brings a system and a plan.  We are going to get a coach who gets with the plan.

Yep, that's pretty much what I'm afraid of. The worst part, is Howie isn't afraid to make deals for quality offensive players, so the team will have some varying degrees of success, but I can't see them getting another ring, unless it's another lightening in a bottle story. It's certainly not going to be something they build towards over several years.
