This is the main thing…I’m on the no more coddling boat.  Change the playbook so the primary read is between the numbers for every play.  Trial by fire…i accept all int’s as a result.

I'm not sure my heart could take that trial by fire though

All this talk is pointless until FRAUD Siri is gone. Sad but it’s a waiting game now. Could we eek out 9 wins and a wildcard birth? Sure but who gives a F.

I thought they’d go 9-8 maybe squeak out a 10-7. But i also thought the defense wouldn’t be as bad as last year 3 out of 4 weeks

Name them, please.

Hendrickson

Hines-Allen

Mack

Hunter

Parsons

Crosby

Garrett

Jones

Hutchinson

Reddick

Bosa

Karlaftis

Just to name a few. There are more...and there are several "LBers" as well.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if the defense takes some lumps the next few weeks but gets better as the season goes on.

I would seriously think about trading Slay.  He's not terrible but not sure his passive attitude towards the team is good especially for the younger guys.

Offense on the other hand is up to Jalen IMO.  He needs to stop the timely turnovers and make quicker decisions with the ball.  Just seems like every snap on offense takes forever and it takes him a long time to go somewhere with the ball.  Maybe they should run hurry up more often but we've been saying that for awhile.

I mentioned this a week or so ago…but there’s a plus to it.  Even in the hurry up the play clock gets scary low…now to my knowledge, i don’t think hurts has taken 1 delay of game this year?

I thought we were just talking about DT

He specifically said "DL"

This is pathetic. These are the Eagles 1st quarter drives. This team is so unprepared to start games.

In the Super Bowl year under Siri we scored something like 60% of our points in the 2nd quarter for almost half the season…maybe history repeats?

I’d easily add Quinnen Williams to the list. I think Christian Wilkins also deserves the nod. Carter has the potential to be as good or better but hasn’t proven it yet like those two.

Even Myles Garrett doesn't take over every single NFL game. That's an unrealistic expectation for any defender. Aaron Donald struggled against Kelce too.

You know what would happen Jalen Carter more than less snaps? An EDGE who could win + DBs who can press.

Bc howie has drafted poorly

IDK that he has drafted poorly compared to his peers TBH.  I’m looking at the history and while it’s not pretty…i wonder how it compares around the league.  21 was a slam dunk, 22 if Cam is the C of the future is a slam dunk regardless of what happens with Davis.  23 is still too recent to have a good read and this year look promising.  Hurts can still save his class…maybe.  Before that…ugh you almost have to go back to the Wentz draft.

The scenario against the Bucs could not have been more obvious to lean on Barkley.

  • Top 2 WRs out
  • Top LT out
  • Backup/new linemen on the right side
  • O line strength to run the ball
  • In that heat, don't want to run receivers too much
  • QB struggling with turnovers, take the ball out of his hands
  • Gaining 0 yards, need to at least get something going
  • Barkley was the top rusher in the league after 3 weeks, they saw his impact against the Saints

IF hurts doesn’t royally f up the first offensive snap of the game things could have went completely different.

It took a future HOFer to shut down Aaron Donald. It took 97 degree heat to shut down Jalen Carter. Now, I'm being a bit harsh with that but Carter just isn't at that level. He IS at that level when he wants to be. He just hasn't shown he wants to be at that level week in and week out.

Aaron Donald is a top 5 player this century. If your bar for success for Jalen Carter is that, then sure you'll be disappointed.

That's what I have been saying.  Moore needs to scheme some easy throws to open guys so Hurts can get the ball out of his hands quickly.  I like what the Ravens have been doing with motion, play action to open easy throws to players like Flowers who can make some guys miss.

Eh, i don’t know.  Hurts isn’t a rhythm passer and not really a throw open guy.  Granted I haven’t watched enough of the ravens, but Lamars YPA is laughably low last i looked. We struggle on screens and throw behind the sticks way too much as is.

Right.  Despite his demeanor and appearance at times - Jason Kelce definitely has a "geeky/nerdy” side to him and yes, he’s pretty smart and gets math & stats.

There are several.

Carter is maybe a top 10 DT..and doesn't sniff being a top DL.
