This is pathetic. These are the Eagles 1st quarter drives. This team is so unprepared to start games.

Would make sense if we think Nic has a had in the first 15.

It did in the Saints game. How you can be unimpressed is beyond me. Is there a better DL in the league, other than Chris Jones? If so, who?

Are you seriously calling Carter the second best DL in the league?

Well, prior to the season starting, PFF had him as the 9th best DT in the league. I am not saying the link below is a list of DT better than him, because I do not think that PFF's grades tell everything about a player. There are intangibles left out that also should be used when grading a player, but this list at leasts gives you something to compare him too.

What I thought. Your opinion comes from PFF.

There are only 3 iDL who I think are definitely better than Jalen Carter: Lawrence, Jones, Q. Williams. I'd take Carter over the rest (all respect to Christian Wilkins and Jeffrey Simmons).

Hendrickson

Hines-Allen

Mack

Hunter

Parsons

Crosby

Garrett

Jones

Hutchinson

Reddick

Bosa

Karlaftis

Just to name a few. There are more...and there are several "LBers" as well.

Interesting. How many are DTs? My bad for being less than specific. I’ll give you Jones, as I did before. Probably some DBs could fit in there, while we’re at it. Otherwise, nobody.

I respect this.

😂, man do you not comprehend the written language or what?

Yes.

You’re not being objective but fans typically aren’t, I get it. He has the potential to be one of the best (top 5) in a long while but he’s not yet, and definitely not the 2nd best right now.

Yes.

Maybe he should take down a qb this year before we call him the second best DL in the NFL.

If it’s just DL Myles Garrett and Chris jones are better. Imo top 2 DL in the nfl.

Even Myles Garrett doesn't take over every single NFL game. That's an unrealistic expectation for any defender. Aaron Donald struggled against Kelce too.

You know what would happen Jalen Carter more than less snaps? An EDGE who could win + DBs who can press.

I'm not asking for him to take over every single game.   I am asking for more consistency.   There's not taking over every game, and then there's disappearing for multiple games in a row.  He's in year 2.  We have seen the talent.  I'd just like to see it more consistently.  He should be noticeable for something good nearly every game without having to specifically look for him through out the game.

Watt clears everyone.

IDK that he has drafted poorly compared to his peers TBH.  I’m looking at the history and while it’s not pretty…i wonder how it compares around the league.  21 was a slam dunk, 22 if Cam is the C of the future is a slam dunk regardless of what happens with Davis.  23 is still too recent to have a good read and this year look promising.  Hurts can still save his class…maybe.  Before that…ugh you almost have to go back to the Wentz draft.

Defensively... Howie has really struggled to draft well.  Nearly all of his 'hits' have been offensive.   Granted, he's put more emphasis there, but that just makes it all the more important to hit on the defense when he does go that way.   Good news is that the early returns on Mitchell are promising.  He's still got a long way to go though, but he's not embarrassing himself out there at all.  Would be nice if he managed to pick off one of these passes that he's close to.

IF hurts doesn’t royally f up the first offensive snap of the game things could have went completely different.

He can't throw on the run, and he can't throw over the middle.  A lot of big plays come on those two skills.  We saw it with the Goedert throw against the Saints, and that wasn't even in the middle third, that's just where Goedert came from.   And we saw the opportunity with the throw to Barkley to start the Bucs game.  But, when he's out of the pocket, the hope is for him to just tuck it and run, because the throws are generally bad.

I think that's his ceiling and that's what his talent can be.  I just don't think he's consistent enough to be there... yet.

So you said DL, doubled down on it and now want to back pedal?

Carter is no where near the second best DL in all of football.

he is in my top 3. I think you can make an argument for any of those 3. Myles Garrett is coming off DPOY last year so i had him ahead. I’d take watt over jones

Need Cooper DeJean to be a player to beat these allegations.

All me crazy but i think alot of Bauns success has to do with Carter being in front of him. A DT that commands a double is a linebackers best friend

They need to accept he is a safety

Whatever gets Maddox off the field they have to go that route. CJGJ has been concerning in coverage but has played slot before. They can go that route with DeJean at safety. And then Sydney Brown coming back adds another layer at safety too.

Nickle corner and safety are more similar than outside CB and safety.
