This is old but classic. We really were spoiled. Even when the Eagles had Hugh Douglas and Hollis Thomas and their goofy attitudes, you knew they were going to bring it every play.

Has there been a team other than the Eagles who have had this many QBs in a row who could look like the best QB in the NFL and the worst in the span of a week?

McNabb, Vick, Foles, Wentz, Hurts. Every single one of them. I'd also say Hurts has shown the least upside of the whole bunch. He can make terrific plays but I don't see him being as great as the others.

Reminds me of when Trotter got ejected pre-game against Atlanta for getting into a fight with Kevin Mathis on MNF. That was a fun era of football.

A qualify game plan with a QB who can execute it. How novel. Atlanta scores immediately, for the Eagles it was like drawing blood from a stone.

I was the absolute captain of the Hurts hate train in 2021.  I gladly ate my crow in 2022.  I’m always going to critique mediocre qb play, but I was pretty quiet about Hurts in 2023 after what he did to doubters the year before.

But the biggest reason I was down on him in 2021 was that I felt he combined being a raw non cerebral qb with being a non physically gifted low upside qb.  So what the heck was the point?

And then 2022 happened.  But the more bad games, months, and seasons that stack between the present and 2022, the more I’m starting to believe that it was just an immeasurably stacked offense with an OC that was calling the right number on the first read.

Foles was a traditional pocket qb with a good but not great arm.  But Mcnabb, Wentz, Vick…all much bigger upside guys than Hurts.   But 2022 is what provides that sense of upside for Hurts.

Kirk put up 14 already. Qb1 put up 14 in 4 quarters
