Very depressing watching 2 much better QBs than Hurts duel it out for what will probably be a 1st round playoff exit. 

Peeking up at this game occasionally, it just shows how pretty pathetic we are that we couldn't move the ball. And yet, clowns are still out here defending this slop of a team.

Baker Mayfield, a mediocre QB in the league, is getting fired up watching Mike Tyson videos before the game. Meanwhile, here’s Hurts pre-warm up.

I dont think Slay said anything wrong, or even slightly offensive about Gardner-Johnson on the podcast. He said when you talk trash you have to back it up, and Gardner-Johnson knows that.  He said when you dont back it up, youre going to hear about it and Gardner-Johnson has it coming. Basically sounds like he is laughing knowing about how the philly fans and media will be on him. Importantly so as not to sound like he is on a pedestal, he mentions that he has been there himself.  Gardner-Johnson as a pro trash talker knows this. Slay didnt criticize his play, or his talking. And Slay didnt say anything CJ doesnt already know. Hes been around long enough to know how it goes. 

I think its ridiculous how fans hate on players with happy outgoing demeanors. Surely those fun personalities are welcomed in any team. Slay is not some bust who didnt make it because hes too giddy and laissez faire. He is a slightly past his prime pro who knows how to produce at a pro bowl and all pro level. He knows hes old and he seems to really enjoy imparting his knowledge on the youth at his position. He is complimentary of his opponents. That has never stopped him from locking them down. Its possible to be a great player, and a nice guy at the same time. Slay isnt great anymore. But, thats not because of his personality.

What I take from the Mike Evans videos is just that Evans treats vet CBs differently than rookies. And Q is quickly earning respect of the game's elite WRs. Consider those clips from a different perspective. You are a Buccs fan, and they are losing. Are you going to be pissed at Mike Evans for playing fortnite with opposing CBs? Nobody is taking issue with that while he is in his prime and the Buccs are currently a playoff team. What changes based on the results of games has nothing to do with Evans (or Slay). Its YOUR attitude and perspective. Which is not a legitimate reason to hate a player.

 

 

Mets just took the lead in the top of the 9th with a 3 run homer. 

Every time I watch good football, I feel more strongly that Siri and Hurts gotta go.

Sadly, at this point, Baker has stacked more above average QB play on his resume than Hurts.

Baker came on last year, all year. And has continued it in to this next season. Showing that last year was not just a flash in the pan, outlier season.

Hurts had a great 2022. But was below average before that, and has regressed each of the 2 seasons after it.

QB1 gets fired up looking at his grinder account before the game

Im not watching. But either AJ Terrell is having a rough night trying to contain Evans, or the Falcons need a CB2. I do remember it seemed like the eagles successfully targeted Alford. If the eagles continue their .500 or worse level of play, they should consider Atlanta a trade destination for one of the CBs.

me too. But potentially 2 out of 3 of them wont be on the team next year. And I dont have a strong opinion on how it should shake out one way or another. I thought Rodgers looked like a potential play maker in the pre-season. Ringo might still have higher upside but he has less tape on field and is still more of an unknown. Rodgers may also be cheaper, and also plays STs and gives a dynamic KR option if the team ever comes off the stupid Gainwell returner failure of a personnel decision.

Rodgers pissed me off after last week. He can get lost. All that TC hype on him was a load of sheet. Just like qb1

Both of these QBs are the difference in the game tonight compared to what we saw on Sunday.  Tampa’s defense isn’t good. Atlanta’s defense is as bad/possibly worse than the Eagles. But they both have QBs that sling it, make competent decisions, and actually throw accurate passes to receivers before they’ve created separation.  Hurts couldn’t make that pass to Hodges in the end zone into tight coverage like that in his wildest dreams, nor could he have completed it in 2022.  Watching this game actually makes me wanna puke, because I’m jealous of the QB play from Kirk Cousins and Baker Mayfield. 🤮🤮🤮

Brewers manager has been awful this series with decisions. Game 1 he cost his team removing peralta on 68 pitches after he retired the last 9 guys. Then leaving Williams in after the 3 run homer was ridiculously dumb. He was cooked. Gotta keep it at 1 run. 

Bring on the Mets.  

Also Gainwell should be bench. Give his touches to Shipley
