Hurts is due for a 300 yard passing 3 rushing TD zero turnover game at some point this year to throw a wrench into the debate.

With the schedule coming up, he will have plenty of opportunity

How many times in his career has he even thrown for 300 yards? You can possibly count that on one hand.

9 times in 66 games

For comparison sake, Trubisky did it 7 times in 72 games.

I might have missed a game or so, admittedly. I did a very quick glance.

So he's a more mobile Trubisky with a much better line, group of receivers, running game and tight end.

pathetic. With all these weapons. 9 times in 66 games. A supposedly elite QB.

It will help to actually have real WRs playing

One good thing about bye week is you can check out more games

Trubisky was never even close to being in the parking lot of a Super Bowl, much less a potential league MVP.

Hurts needs a stable offense to grow into, and Sirianni to get his arse as far away from the playcalling sheet as possible.

That being said Hurts isn't supposed to be *this* bad while that happens, though.

Does anyone remember that article that came out some months ago that detailed the Hurts Sirianni relationship and the article mentioned that Hurts lost confidence in the offense because Hurts wanted to run an offense that utilized the middle of the field more and Sirianni didn't want to. I can't remember who wrote that article.

Anyone have a link to it?

Interesting to revisit that since everyone is theorizing the Eagles offense looking stale because Hurts doesn't want to throw over the middle, then I remembered that article.

Regardless, something is deeply rotten with this team and I can't see this thing not imploding eventually as long as Sirianni and Hurts are paired together. Hurts just looks so miserable out there every single game.

Yeah I also remember seeing graphs that the vast majority of the plays/plays called didn’t utilize the middle of the field.

Does Hurts prefer to stand in the pocket, or run out of the pocket to the sideline?  I don’t know what coach would think Hurts has a strong enough arm for perimeter throws from the pocket as a staple

Football discussion is fun when we have a top 12 offense and a bottom 6 defense and all people want to do is blame the QB for all our struggles.

I counted 13 back to his rookie year. Are we counting right?

It was tongue in cheek, but let's be honest...

Trubisky never had offensive talent that came close to what Hurts has the bulk of his career.

I think it's because people figured the defense might suck before the season so they knew the team had to have an elite top 5 offense for this team to go anywhere.

Top 12 and bottom 6 based on what?

The offense is 16th in PPG

Defense is 23rd in PPG, so bottom 10

The reason people blame the QB is he and the offense have looked like absolute dog ish through 4 games despite having an elite OL, elite RB, 2 elite receivers and a solid TE. It's embarrassing that an offense with that much talent is 16th in PPG and it starts with the QB who has more turnovers than touchdowns (6 total TDs, 9 total turnovers- 4 INT 5 Fumbles).

Of course.
An actual blow to the Cowboys in the short-term. Lamb should be doubled at all times.

Also this. Everyone knew the defense was going to suck, even with a new coordinator they had no edge depth, and no linebackers. CB and S seemed like they might be ok. The expectations for defense weren't high at all.

What’s your take against the Mets?! For some reason I think they were the toughest draw the Phils could’ve gotten.
