These guys are not going to compete again any time soon.

No point in sticking around.

Hashtag watched all the awesome highlights from 2017.

We suck again.

Are you evacuating for Milton? Forgot what part of FL you’re in but thought it was gulf coast

Yep, near Naples on the gulf. Looks like the storm is going slightly north and I’m about 5+ miles from the coast so shouldn’t have many problems besides losing power, so we’re staying put. I also was away and just flew back tonight ironically.

Follow up:

Who on this DL, LB corps, or Secondary will answer the call?

Putting the drinks and substances down.

But how awesome was the 2017 season?

He was a terrible head coach and the eagles wont bring back that kind of defense they made it clear they don't want that kind

I've long thought it weird that there is no Spagnulo coaching tree. You see all these guys run a version of the Fangio defense. Where are the Spagnulo disciples in the league running his style? I don't know of any.

Stay safe.

I went down nostalgia lane last night.

Watched the 2017 NFCCG and Superbowl.

It might be decades before we see the stars align like that again.

The problem isn't that we're bad. The problem is that we're average.

Average is pretty bad relative to the expectations many had.  But I agree.

They are average because they are bad. If you're expecting to get an A on your exam and you end up getting a C, that's bad.

We've been spoilt for the past few seasons tbh.

At the moment we're average again and everyone needs to accept it.

I guess their best wasn't good enough...

Also doesn't help that Hurts has 3 turnovers in the redzone, in 4 games

Nonsense. We have a damn Pro Bowl offense and can't score.

Good news for you.  We just moved from Sarasoto to Denver in June.  Sarasota has had flooding three times since then.  Milton will make it 4.

That may be the case but with hurts and our coaching we're average. We are not a good team - whether they can get better as the season goes on remains to be seen. Sirianni will should be on his way at the end of the season if we don't improve.

I read he has 25% of all QB redzone turnovers this season.  His run game is no longer a threat either- scramble is OK, but the designed runs are useless.

This is going to start a crapshow, but his three red zone turnovers were a slip by aj brown, a bad route by smith and barkley screwing up a blitz pickup that led to a strip sack.

Which is not to say hurts hasn't been responsible for making other bad turnovers or bad plays, but the pro bowlers this team has weren't pro bowlers on those plays.

If you watch tape, he hasn't been great. But he hasn't been nearly as horrible as everyone here is making him out to be. People just naturally tend to lose their minds.

A turnover is a turnover. I don't care how it happens, it takes points off the board. Everyone knows the margin for error shrinks when you're in the redzone, and yet this team is great at turning it over there.

This is clearly AJ Browns fault:

He hasn't been good either.  Not entirely his fault, but a pattern has emerged, and that is he will turn the ball over more than once per game.  So far he has 4 INT and 5 fumbles (lost 3) this season.  Almost 2 turnovers per game.  Say what you will, but I now expect him to take points off the board with a turnover and/or give the opposing offense a short field every game.

I agree. He clearly needs to play better.

I'm not sure he can.  Running was such a huge part of his early success and defenses have removed it from his game.  He will have excellent moments and drives, but he hasn't shown he can sustain it for a game without his running as a threat.
