How can that still be the case? I thought most concussions were generally "sorted” within a week?

Let me introduce you to Justin Morneau

It's a concussion. There's no standard. To be in this long means he had longer lasting symptoms than others.

When do they decide to clear players or not for Sunday?

He's supposedly going to be at practice. Depending on what he does he could be close.

Malik Nabers had a TNF game and had a concussion. He missed the next week (Seahawks) and still isn't practicing yet.

He has to clear all the steps and get a green light from an independent neurologist. It can happen at any point between now and the game.

If he is at practice today, that means he's gotten to that step which I believe is the 2nd to last. Last is a final neurological check.

If he practices today, even limited, he'll likely play Sunday.

Yep. Non contact football activities is the second to last step. Just depends if he's doing those activities or like Lane Johnson and just doing light stretching/watching. Johnson mentioned he was "cleared" for the game but because he didn't go through a full practice the team held him out. It will be interesting to see if they follow the same approach with Smith.

Hopefully not, as Lane was doing that Thursday/Friday and one week off the concussion. DeVonta is going to be 3 weeks removed, and participating at practice on Wednesday. I'm feeling optimistic.

I really think our whole offense is basically designed around the talents of AJ, DeVonta and the line. So losing both of them for the Tampa game, along with our best lineman, was a nightmare. Check out this post on the subtle difference between DeVonta and Dotson, and one is a completion and the other a near pick. Moore loves his curl routes.

He's in pads and practicing. He should be good for Sunday absent a setback.

He has not returned to full activites without symptoms or he has not returned to baseline.

I hope somebody pisses in that Saints player's cereal

On a positive note, I think I met the future Mrs. Iggles25 at a open mic that I helped host last night.

There might be hope yet for a scrub like me

Well that solves that

Yea, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Only 6 sacks, 0 fumbles and 2 INT's. That's nothing

Jalen Carter has not gotten home to the QB yet, but he has some tackles for losses, and batted balls.  Those are big plays too

No, you should definitely not shave and should definitely be wearing camo and carrying an AR-15 for your press conferences.

He only has 2 TFL's. Team has 17 total TFL's. I don't know what the league averages for that is but for reference the NY Giants have 30 TFL's. Colts are one of the worst D's and they have 27. Just seems weird because I'm confident in saying we are below league average in sacks, INT's and FF. TFL's seem low too. Can PBU's push us up into top 10? Just seems weird.

I don't go to the games so I've never actually watched pre game warm ups but it was interesting to hear Dave Zangaro and Reub talking about Jalen Hurts and how he doesn't do any of the pre pre game stuff. He doesn't come out on to the field to stretch out, get throws in or any other kind of warm up until the entire team comes out. Most likely not a huge deal in how he plays the game but it seems this is the time when the great QB/WR are going through the route tree, even if against air. I think it was Jerry Rice who was known to run every route continually during this time. Just seems like it would be good for the starting QB and WR to be together as much as possible to get in work.
