Every pass is dependent on the receivers adjusting to throws or bodying the defender to where the receiver makes the play.

Hurts hasn’t just lost a step, he’s lost like 8 steps. Watching him run now is no different than watching any non scrambler try to take off and run in the NFC. It’s really bad. That element of his game is totally gone yet they keep trying to use it.

The ball could have been thrown maybe a foot further but not much more than that - not on that angle.
