I'm starting to think he just takes the blame for when something goes wrong when it wasn't even him. Why would he be calling any type of defensive play? That makes no sense

Because the people that really hate him believe anything.

For the record I feel he should be gone but I'm not gonna blame him for everything like some.

Sirianni, call out Calceterra for stepping up.

The offense opened up when Hurts started throwing to him over the middle.

Tough to know - he might be protecting his coaches from scrutiny. But whoever called that sequence, was just pure dumb.

Just go Tush Push there and take a timeout. Yet they lined up, took a time out anyway and then ran a dumb play and got sacked.

And then they called a TO after the sack with 25 secs which most definitely is a Siri decision - again pure stupid. Why leave any time on the clock? Should have taken it down inside 5 secs and then kicked the FG rather than at 25 secs. What was the upside for the Eagles of leaving some time on the clock?

Yup.  I assumed it was a mistake by the network and they charged the wrong team.

Did they ask him about yelling at the fans yet?

He’s 100% protecting Moore and Fangio and won’t throw them under the bus publicly which is admirable. He’ll take the blame for stuff that doesn’t work and he rarely takes credit on the plays that do. On the big AJ pass at the end he said Hurts audibled into it and Moore drew it up.

The Browns were crowding the LOS.  Passing made sense.  You expect your All-Pro RB, known for being a good protector, to at least slow down the blitzing LB.

Frankly, that was a tough block to make, he had to cross the face of his QB to get there, IIRC, and he seemed a step slow getting there.  He should have been moved to that side presnap to make the block easier.

Like the Lions attitude...

Tom Brady is the official analyst for Dallas I guess.

What's he done all but 1 of their games this year?

It’s every week. They play to the level of the competition and it’s infuriating.

Or they get blown out like they did by the Bucs.

There's the Dak I know. What a terrible throw.

. Dak.

Leadership matters.   By him doing that, it gives license to any of them to do the exact same thing.  And one of them WAS doing the exact same thing during the Saints' game, IIRC, and Sirianni had the audacity to try to tell him to knock it off.

It's not so much about how it makes the players feel, its more about holding them accountable when they do the wrong things, on the field, off the field, etc.   BUT, if he's going to act like that, while the game is going on, then he's lost all credibility to do so.  He's not an adult.

The fans were trying to say it was a great throw by Hurts. Siri was yelling at them because it was slightly underthrown.

He was there and whiffed.

Nick taking the blame for Moore and Vic doing something stupid is actually against his whole accountability motto. It's good that he's willing to take the blame for his guys failing but it's just a cover

The media isn’t a tool for the organizational culture.  Handle the accountability in-house, and feed the fishbowl idiots nothing.

Has that happened though?

It's a better catch than throw. Brown made sure he was catching it

I know it's a hypothetical, but IF Saquon catches the pass against the Falcons and gets the first down at the end of the half today, the vibes around here would be totally different.

Yep. What's wrong with him? Lack of focus in key situations is just a bad look for a star player.

What's forgotten is how good Hurts was after going 0 for 5 (rust, not just for him, Brown not turning around for perfect back shoulder throw, etc.).

He did this with Mailata and Goedert out.

Calcaterra showed he's a lousy TE but a good big WR.

He does this with everyone. Just like he takes the blame for every Hurts turnover or Brown/Hurts going off script against Seattle last year. He doesn’t need to rip anyone during PC’s and even if he’s accountable behind closed doors there is a thing called public accountability, which this team is not.

The public doesn't matter.

You can be as accountable as you want in public - win and all is forgiven, lose and no one cares that you took the arrows or threw your players/coaches under the bus.

I like Siri's personality, and I dont mind him yelling at obnoxious fans.

yeah they do. Andy Reid did it all the time and was praised for it.
