They also don’t have a lot of choice! They cut White and don’t have much depth. It’s pretty much Nakobe or bust. And that’s a huge issue!

But Nick told us he was really excited about the LB depth!

Nakobe was so slow to some of those outside runs, my assumption was he had to be hurt. In which case, let’s see some of that depth.

Sirianni has become a major distraction  so not only is he not bringing anything to the table, he’s a detriment to the team at this juncture. Idk if I’ve ever disliked a Philly coach as much as I now dislike him.

The Eagles have the seventh-ranked offense in the league despite Brown, Goedert, Johnson, Smith and Goedert all missing time.

But tell me again how Hurts is the issue.

Barkley directly cost us 1 game, could have cost us the game yesterday and had a crucial mistake in the Saints game. He cleans up his act and Brown stays healthy the offense is fine.

The defense? That's another story.

Hard to say that Barkley cost us 1 game, yes he dropped a pass.  Football is 4 quarters and 60 mins.  We have yet to see a consistent 60 mins of football (going back to last year).  Bad series and plays are going to happen, but when you’re completely inept for full quarters or halves it’s hard to pin everything on 1 specific play.  Football is a game of woulda/coulda/shoulda…it’s about the team who capitalizes on those the most typically.  On both sides.  We had a QB that couldn’t throw a ball within the same zip code as his targets for 13 mins, a starting LB who was completely lost and couldn’t tackle all game yesterday.  IDK what to make of the should have been an INT for Q.  Tunnel vision by CJ you’d like to not see, but the net result was a PD at least.  On the flip side, the WR’s balled out and turned some off target throws into huge gains, the OL despite losing their LT seemed to stymie a very good pass rush.  Our DL actually got pressure and to the QB.  The DB’s showed a lot of promise, especially the youngins.

Eventually everyone will know how to spell his name.

55 snaps for Nakobe Dean. He can't be on the field for 96% of the snaps. He's one of, if not the biggest liability on defense and he's playing the 2nd most snaps.

Nakobe clearly was hurt. He could barely move. They should have put anyone else out there. With VanSumeren, we would have held them to even less yards.

Stop forcing injured players to play. Slay gets this. Goedert got this. AJ Brown was fully recovered and was a monster.

We've scored 51 points in 3 weeks combined.  I guess if you want to use yards we are a top 10 offense... but as a scoring team...Screenshot_20241014_084538_Chrome.thumb.jpg.552ef1de9f076417b785098dc171d90c.jpg

Hurts is:

16th in passing yards

21st in passing TDS

17th in QB Rating

The only thing top 10 about their offense is rushing, which carries them into top 10 in yards (as you pointed out) and that's it.

Every other metric they are average/below average.

I’m incredibly shocked, i liked him a lot pre draft but i thought he was going to need some time.  He seemed raw and LCB only to start the season when watching him…and then the season started and he’s amazing.

Chip still holds that title - Nick needs to rein in some of these emotions, it’s not a good example and honestly embarrassing. Firey fine… trash talking with players and fans? C’mon you have more important things to do, right…

Why do you think he’s hurt?  Has he been listed on any in week injury reports recently?  Maybe he’s just bad.

His ankle this week, I believe.

Still, he's been pretty bad the past two games.

Not an unexpected performance to be honest.  Clearly not a team who can go deep in the playoffs the way they have played this year (or for the last half of last year).  The D is better than last year and looks like a mediocre unit to me which is ok IF the O is elite.  However, the O remains in a funk.  Hard to say where the blame lies but looks like a mix of Nick, OC, and Hurts.

That's what I was thinking. The offense isn't anything special beyond week 1

Do you remember this guy?

Eagles should have found a way to keep TJ Edwards.  He's not great by any means but he did very well.

Maybe he doesn't... and that's part of the problem.

Based on last season and so far this season Hurts isn’t a top 10 QB.  He’s somewhere between 10 - 20.  Close to 10 on a good day and down around 20th on a bad day.

I had to look it up, it's true.  It's his 82 B-Day and the Lions are on pace to put up 82 points, lol.

Well, if it's birthday....

Likely leaning hard into the team vs the world a bit - everybody does it (just not to this degree).
