Also, not the biggest deal in the world, but just head scratching of why we bothered to sign Parris Campbell to the 53 over Sydney Brown just for him to take up an active spot and not play a single snap all game.

I'm assuming it was insurance in case AJ tweaked his hammy again. Campbell was out of elevations, so they either had to put him on the 53 or roll with Ross/Wilson.

It makes sense for just one week, which is why I would have just went with Ross/Wilson. Losing Goedert was after the fact, they had a fully healthy offense going into the game. Plus they will have to sign Smith to the 53 in the next 14 days too.

But Nick told us he was really excited about the LB depth!

And when that guy says something… he’s wrong 😊😛.

Was Brown ready to go?

Also, I would expect Brown to bump McCollum from the 53 when activated.

Something is clearly off with Sirianni. He's either burnt out or just succumbing to the pressures of the job, half of which was imposed by the owner in whatever weird stipulations were put in place for him to retain his job. Every week he's just becoming more and more of a distraction. He barely does anything at this point but is somehow becoming a detriment to the team. I'm not going to speculate on the whole random head shaving thing besides it's just weird for someone not even balding to buzz his entire head between the last practice/PC and the game Sunday. Especially when he's been on the record saying he gets haircuts at the facility on a regular basis.

Going after fans is just dumb in general. Going after Eagles fans is just beyond idiotic. They are lucky to be on the road the next two weeks. Say what you will about it being not a big deal, but now fans know how easy it is to get to him. The majority of the fanbase already isn't a fan or want him gone as it is and now the boos will just be louder and louder.

The kids thing is just tone deaf at best, manipulating them at worst. I thought it was always a little silly how many times he's already trotted them out there to begin with, but no harm no foul. Putting all 3 out there yesterday after everything that already happened is just completely unnecessary. They had a sitter for the game so they had someone that could watch them. Then polling the kids and sidetracking the whole PC was just cringey.

Lashing out at the media is just more emotional outbursts that doesn't do anything besides make everything a bigger story. The whole "every bad play was my call, even on defense" is just immature. At one point during his PC he said he wasn't even aware or paying attention to the game when asked about a specific situation. The identity of the team at the moment is a talented but unorganized and football dumb group of players being held together by an over emotional, immature baby.

It's not Sirianni I think he's the same guy he's always been. It's the terrible coaching layout Lurie and Howie put together during the offseason. They take a rah rah football guy who is passionate and stripped him of all power, so he's probably antsy on the sidelines every game not being able to do anything or impact the game.

I and many others said it back in January. You lost trust in the coach so much that you stripped him of all responsibilities, yet you still wanted to keep him. It made no sense then, it didn't now. It was a disastrous decision, many said it then.

That falls on Lurie. It's the sign of not thinking with nuance and just doing a bottom line wins and losses analysis of the coach, which I thought Lurie would be smarter than. If nothing else, this Sirianni situation destroys the whole "The coach just wins!" narrative. That was always midwit grade reasoning. Anyone who watches the games sees with their eyes he sucks. I don't care about his record. Many things go into a record aside from just a head coach's chops. The guy is clearly a moron, ran out of answers last year, they decided to keep him, strip him of all power, and what else is he gonna do but bark on the sidelines?

This is all on Lurie and Howie.

Can we go more than a game with FJohnson at LT?  Going to need to sort that out.

What is there to sort?  Move Becton to LT and insert Steen?

Expect Sirianni to express regret at his presser today.

"Lot's of emotion after waiting for two weeks after a difficult loss", "I need to do a better job", "Looking back, I would have instead....."

So angry with our moron of a coach, I forgot it was Bdawk’s bday yesterday. Happy bday to the goat!

That's what a toddler says after they are caught with their hand in the cookie jar... or a teenager after they come home late after curfew.   Remorse because they are caught, not for the action.

That's maddening.

Its not only obvious to us, but to everyone else. Please fire nick.

I didn't think that at all, but I'm a huge fan of traditional 4-3 type lbs and a Wisconsin fan. Pff rated him high (79.7 overall and the only lb who rated above 78 in all categories that year). Him getting into the starting lineup really cleaned up a lot of problems. People just expect superstars everywhere. I'll take 130 tackles a year....

Welp, that’s what he did here … tackled ball carriers. But, he was called trash for not making enough plays or if he over perused a play. The guy is a good player just not a superstar.

I'll say again though that those are deceiving because it shows completions.  Not every route that's being run.  But just the routes the QB chooses to throw.

Nick can go but you won't see the change you're looking for on offense till the QB goes too.

We're at an interesting spot with the offense. I tend to lean towards there being a limit on what we do because Hurts really doesn't like certain things, including throwing into the middle of the field.

If it's truly just because Nick wants to keep running the same plays and Lurie continues to allow it, then they can all go including Lurie himself.

It makes more sense for the limiting factor to be Hurts, but who knows?

Not sure the best option is to move two spots.

Herbert is a better passer than Hurts so that's probably why it looked different there

Agreed.  But what other option really exists besides Fred Johnson at LT until Mailata is back?   Either you change two spots... or you insert Johnson and give him a little help with chips and doubles from the TE/RB.  That's it.

He fully practiced each practice all week and said he's good to go. All the reports are he would be ready after the bye. We'll never know 100% but everything points to yes, he was and is.

Exactly, meaning the "sorting out" is to give Johnson help and maybe change some plays to roll out, etc. as well as the chipping and doubles.

I just heard this today.

Remember when Kevin Byard said they decided to do the scouting and film review for an upcoming game last year, and then absolutely stunk?

Apparently that's back as the players were doing the scouting for the game against the Browns and bringing it to the coaches. We are already at the stage of the coaches ran out of ideas and leaving it up to the players to try to find answers.

Its probably a little of both, but I would put more blame on Siri. You saw what Steichen was able to get out of Hurts, and maybe he did play above his overall talent, but he was the only one that got him to play at that level. He was able to get that after taking over play calling duties. So it was still Siris offense, just Steichen making the calls.

Now the offense has regressed since Steichen's departure and hasn't come close to capturing a sliver of that. Siri should have been canned last year and we would have had an answer to this question a year earlier. The Eagles will probably have a new HC next year with Hurts as the starter, and then we will have to wait and see again.

So basically every time AJ Brown is lined up on the left side, he’s running streaks.

That must cause nightmares for opponents’ defensive coordinators to scheme against.   How creative. SMH
