3rd round picks for coop and Adams. Howie got fleeced with that Dotson deal

Adams and Cooper probably both have higher salaries that is being taken on then Dotson.  I'm guessing that's why.

The Bills just got a whole lot better as well today.

Can't use YPC as a metric for our QB when half his runs per game are successful tush pushes.

Short yardage back…no?

Short yardage backs have lower ypc.  You don’t remove the goal line or 3rd/4th and short carries from the ypc of big backs.

That’s how they use the QB in this offense.

Adams, yes. Cooper no. Cooper is costing the bills just $800k. Dotson is about twice as expensive this year but they have the benefit of having him next year for $2.7M whereas Cooper is a free agent.

How's that dagger in your heart feel Phillies fans? I know the players are the ones who have to pitch and hit but I don't think he earned this one.

I'm not sure he deserved to be fired either.   Dombrowski, on the other hand... What move has he made here that's actually really worked out as intended?   How about those trade deadline moves?  Pretty awesome, amirite?   And how about the '23 trade deadline moves?   That Rodolfo Castro move was a master stroke.   Pre-2023 trades?  Gregory Soto for Matt Vierling?   Amazing!!!

His full salary for this year has already been guaranteed though, no? I assume the Jets will now be on the hook for the balance of that?

Correct, but he's going to want a new deal if they don't give him the $35.6M for 2025, and that means it will be a big number... or they are trading away these picks for a 12 week rental.   He wants money... so, they are going to have to pony up money for him, just like they traded for Reddick, knowing he wanted a new deal.   I really wonder what they are doing.

I'm not so sure about that. He may take less to chase a ring with Rodgers

He does not stop. I like the he attacks each and every one separately.

He's a Philadelphia treasure.

They tried it in the first game and then went away from it completely. Guessing Hurts doesn't like it

He's not the same threat in the run game as he was before (which is odd to say since he's still young)

Not surprising at all.   RBs generally have shorter shelf lives because of the hits piling up more than the age factor.   Same goes for running QBs who run like a fullback.  Hits add up, and drop effectiveness of a runner.

We have the "benefit” of having Dotson next year…

Nonsense, Howie is the greatest trader in the history of traders.   Who can forget the trade for Genard Avery, or Golden Tate, or Albert O?!

Help me understand this narrative that Hurts refuses to run certain plays.

Here's a highlight reel of plays, Joyner says they're mostly from 2022. So, fans think that Hurts played at an MVP level in 2022 and then...refused to run those plays and is stubborn and does not want to play great anymore? That doesn't add up. I think Hurts is part of the problem and players can regress. But I don't really buy that he refuses to do things...especially things that were so successful in the past.

Cooper is cooked. Adams wouldn't come here.

Even if you want to call him a RB he's slowed down for not having much mileage

He's only 26 and only 2699yds rushing

Lamar had more yards in 5 years

Even Allen has more yards and he seems to enjoy running into tackles

There will be no ring chase in NY.  They are the Jets... and they have been Jetting for over 50 years.

Yea, TBD if that's a good or bad thing. But length of control almost always factors into trades in some way.

I'm not calling him a RB, I am comparing his running style to that of a RB.  Lamar doesn't lower his shoulder, he tries to avoid contact.

Which of them runs the Tush Push and is constantly taking that beating?   The Eagles are using him like a battering ram, and then they are confused as to why he's beaten up.   I also think that the hits impact his throwing as well, as he is taking big hits to the shoulder so much.

Seriously, as much as we complain about Lurie and Howie at times, imagine dealing with this.

Or how about this

Cooper is 30 years old and a FA at the end of this season.

Adams is 32 years old with $35M+ over the next two seasons.

Dotson is still on his rookie deal.

A voice of reason! BTW, I’ve watched a fair amount of all-22 and Dotson has been open a lot. He’s also run some really bad patterns, which I expect will get coached out of him. He’s a legit talent but Hurts doesn’t trust him…yet.

I often wonder when people keep saying to get rid of the RPO, if they don't mean we should stop running read options.

Me too. And I want us to keep the RO.

You really should take a step back.  The name Barkley shouldn’t even come out of your mouth in terms of this season’s performance when compared to Hurts’.

Sorry facts have offended you.

Not sure if Brady will still call games/how much longer he will, but I thought he was pretty good this past Sunday. He was awkward Week 1 which was to be expected, but I thought he was really good this week. Clearly getting better. Hopefully he sticks around.

RUN IT BACK BABY!!!
