Sorry facts have offended you.

Do you want to hear another fact?  This team would be 1-4 without Barkley.

If laughing at guys getting hit in the nuts ever becomes illegal, then dammit, I will be an outlaw.

Help me understand this narrative that Hurts refuses to run certain plays.

Here's a highlight reel of plays, Joyner says they're mostly from 2022. So, fans think that Hurts played at an MVP level in 2022 and then...refused to run those plays and is stubborn and does not want to play great anymore? That doesn't add up. I think Hurts is part of the problem and players can regress. But I don't really buy that he refuses to do things...especially things that were so successful in the past.

TBF, a handful of those weren’t middle of the field passes and most were bombs away highlights.  The thing of note from a lot of these is how the D plays against routes that develop over the middle though.  There is no intermediate middle of the field passing game currently, whether by design, failure to get open, or someone not looking.  What this O needs to succeed is keeping LB’s on their heels and safeties in spots.  Also, Smith and AJ’s ability to track a ball and either position or muscle their way into catches in double and triple coverage is simply amazing.

This is just crazy.  Is he the first new dad to play in the NFL?   Is the first to have to wake up in the middle of the night and then go to work the next day?

The NFL is, and has always been, about production on the field.  The outside distractions exist for everyone in every walk of life.  Men have been getting up and going to work after becoming a dad for a long long time.   Hurts isn't unique.  Someone trying to use it as an excuse for mediocre play is unique.

If he can't play QB and be a new parent, then he should take advantage of the Family Medical Leave Act and step away from the game for 12 weeks of unpaid leave.

Two things stand out in this..

1 - The lack of play action pass is so frustrating.   Easiest way to slip a route behind the LBs over the middle is to use the play action pass game with arguably the best RB in the NFL as a decoy.  It maximizes his impact, without piling up excessive workload onto his shoulders.

2 - Brown and Smith are really really good.

No one with a $250m job and responsibility is waking up overnight tending to their newborn.  No one.

You are likely correct, but even if he is... so what?

It’s almost like the intent of PA is to keep the D honest, a novel concept.  Reliance on the RPO and RO just makes them more aggressive.  I know we’ve been talking about scrap this/keep that/use this.  Get rid of both for now and go traditional.  PA heavy, use the pistol if Hurts is having trouble with our massive OL obscuring views, motivate him to use passing lanes better, get the TE involved and tell him to run when he wants.  Lamar won his only legit MVP leaning on Andrew’s to open up the field for his legs.  Right now it feels like they’re throwing ish against a wall, and instead of using what sticks, they’re collecting what falls and going with that.

That's what, the 4th or 5th trade in the last 2 days? Seahawks traded for a DT. The two WR trades and now Cam Akers. You KNOW Howie is chomping at the bit right now. DeAndre Hopkins is next (not to the Eagles) but he's getting dealt, just a matter of time. I'm looking for DE splash here.

Maxx Crosby or Trey Hendrickson may skew more towards pipe dreams than possibilities, but damn I’d love to see either one in winged helmets.

He has a job to do, and if taking care of the baby is affecting his ability to prepare and perform he needs to use some of that big paycheck to build an in-law quarters, hire a nanny, host a gang of au peres, whatever.

Hendrickson has a realistic contract to move…from what I’m seeing it’s $35m dead cap for LV trading Crosby.  The fate of this season is looking more on the bad side vs trending positive, I’d hate to trade a premium pick for players that age.

I hope he’s putting in more work (gym, film) than the practice schedule….

Congrats BTW.  Boy? Girl?

This however is balls on accurate. They likely have night nurses.

It's not only that he made the news and got fired.  That incident exposed a TON of s*** from his background.  He's going to have to start applying for jobs by his birth name.
