The Giants sold out on the pass and the Eagles ran and ran well to counter.  If anything I got mad when they passed when they could have run.

I get mad about that too.

Negative take is the same one after every game, the QB is still an issue. If he stops being an issue you'll stop hearing about it

If the issue is he wasn't perfect, it's the same issue Mahomes and Brady have / had.

Oh no, he didn't see Barkley wide open in a 25 point win!!!11!

Had a PBU late, near pick.

So you didn't watch the game then. Thanks for making that clear.

Daniels sounds like broken ribs

Six games in I’ll happily eat some crow.  I was underwhelmed with the Barkley signing.  He’s been excellent; along with AJ Brown they’re the best two players on the roster at this point.

Imagine…bear with me here…the ball got to Smith on time as he’s cooking whatever defensive player he’s putting on ice that’s wearing tap dancing shoes.

Josh and Jalen are both going for the record.

Daniel’s getting x-rays in the locker room. Ribs?

No. We want him to stop taking boneheaded sacks, escaping a clean pocket and missing several wide open throws.

Outside of the AJ Brown throw he was largely pedestrian. Watch the games.

Your definition of several is interesting

He missed 3 total passes, 3 does not make several.

Yes drives me nuts when hurts runs out of clean pockets, and when he takes sacks and im basing my opinion solely off this game

This week he played well, are theres things he can do better? Yes always and he didnt turn the ball over tossed a td played a pretty clean unspectacular game and won.

Ill take that every day of the week and twice on sundays

Mahomes picked

Hurts shows how he is all about himself calling to the sidelines that he wanted the 2 tush push calls. He wanted those TDs to make his stats look like he had a better game then he did. Commentators called it out live that he was calling out to Kellen and Nick what he wanted called at the goal line.

A real team guy would have told them to call plays for Barkley to get the TDs to reward him for getting them down there.

Just another reason I can't stand Hurts. Poor leadership to go along with avg play. Call me a hater all you want, dude has no likeable traits.

Huh? I don’t remember this, i am the biggest Hurts realist around these parts, but this seems far fetched.

Sorry, "couple".

Happened more than once, was the point. As did the bonehead sacks.

For what it's worth, you can still miss a wide open player and take a sack, but not get the incompletion. Surely I didn't have to explain that, but it's fine.

As I said last season, it's only a matter of time.

Yes…he had a great ST tackle.  They had Maddox as S #3 over him though.

You aren't counting wide open people he probably missed when he took those horrible sacks, that's why arguing based on a final stat line doesn't work

I'll be that guy

I'm more impressed with passing TDs

Yup the reactions on here are not surprisingly idiotic

Hurts goes 10-14 tosses a td no turnovers while the running game goes for over 200 and a win and  Hurts haters on here are calling hurts a problem.🤷‍♂️

Dude passed the ball 14 times missed 3 of them exactly what was so horrible about those 3 incompletions that one would feel the need to complain about hurts?

You failed to mention the 5 sacks he took from holding onto the ball to long like aways. So those 3 incomplete passes you praise is misleading.

Anyone can see Hurts was the least impressive part of the teams win today and continued to struggle.

Hurts didn't play well today regardless of the score or stat line. I thought some people were being unreasonable with their criticism of him last week but there were more negative plays this week with fewer positive plays. He made a few decent throws and a nice run to help beat down a bad team, but he needs to play much better if we want to win games against actual contenders.

Did you watch the game at all? Missing open receivers (missed Barkley wide open for a TD before one of his tush push TDs), abandoning the pocket early, holding the ball too long, not throwing the ball away, taking awful sacks.

Point at his stat line all you want, he had a mediocre game. He had one great throw. I don't understand yall's obsession with only pointing at his final stat line. We have a $50M QB who has to have the ball taken out of his hands if the offense wants to do anything

Hey I get it, hurts didnt play super well and eagles still won running the heck out of the ball.

Ill take it, I dont think anyone is saying hurts looked great and Ithink its a bit hyperbolic to say hes a problem

Best win of the season by far. Still not feeling remotely good about this offense. Hurts is a problem. Defense looks to be improving though.

If Hurts can continue playing turnover free football (even if its because the coaches let him pass less than 20 times), thats half the battle.

Defense improving. No turnovers. This team is already better than it was in week 2 through 6.

Now, for the next half of the battle, its to get back to what is most effective for Hurts. Today we saw an RPO with a fake handoff to Barkley, and a quick hitting in route to AJ Brown. Havent seen a quick pass like that in a long time. RPOs havent been that effective in a long time. With the threat of Barkley running, teams may not be able to shut it down like they did last year.

Might be time to start leaning in to RPOs more heavily again in the passing game. 20 passes or less, mixing in a larger percentage of RPOs for those passes while keeping turnover opportunities down- offense can get back to looking dangerous again.

I enjoyed the entire game. This was the closest thing we've seen to the 2022 team where when the opponent took away one facet of the offense, we dominated with the other. We built a lead and sustained it. We had all our backups in for most of the 4th quarter .... "But Hurts ..."

The "But Hurts" crowd is back.

Siri just said he sat down with Barkley during the game and showed him how close he was to the records. Barkley said to him, let the other guys eat.

I don’t think he played well. He made a couple of good throws and a nice run but other than that he made some routine throws and handed it off a lot - no TOs though.

Does the above class as playing well ?

Hurts protected the ball.

He took the sacks versus forcing a bad play.

We ran the ball.

We have a chance this year if we keep this formula and the defense keeps up this play.
