Yes…he had a great ST tackle.  They had Maddox as S #3 over him though.

First game back, with very limited practice window coming off of PUP.  I'm ok with them bringing him along slowly, especially with that field.  I expect his PT to grow as he accumulates more practice time with Fangio.  Most importantly, I want him to learn his job so that he can still play fast, but play within the system rather than running around like a crazed maniac.   He's got amazing speed... and does everything at full speed.  But, last year, IIRC, he did the wrong things at full speed almost as much as he did the right things.  He just needs to learn how to control himself out there and bring it under control.

Yup the reactions on here are not surprisingly idiotic

Hurts goes 10-14 tosses a td no turnovers while the running game goes for over 200 and a win and  Hurts haters on here are calling hurts a problem.🤷‍♂️

Dude passed the ball 14 times missed 3 of them exactly what was so horrible about those 3 incompletions that one would feel the need to complain about hurts?

There were definitely a few plays I was frustrated with him taking a sack or not dumping it off but yeah the team wins 28-3 and this place is a whine fest.

Hey I get it, hurts didnt play super well and eagles still won running the heck out of the ball.

Ill take it, I dont think anyone is saying hurts looked great and Ithink its a bit hyperbolic to say hes a problem

This is where you're wrong, there are people who are saying that. One is an obvious troll but not sure about the other 3 or 4. And it's not hyperbolic at all to say he's a problem when he's been playing like this all season long. Hooray it works against the hapless giants. We struggled to beat the Browns last week

Did you watch the game at all? Missing open receivers (missed Barkley wide open for a TD before one of his tush push TDs), abandoning the pocket early, holding the ball too long, not throwing the ball away, taking awful sacks.

Point at his stat line all you want, he had a mediocre game. He had one great throw. I don't understand yall's obsession with only pointing at his final stat line. We have a $50M QB who has to have the ball taken out of his hands if the offense wants to do anything

I touched this earlier…this is not  100% Hurts IMO.  All 22 will prove me wrong possibly.  Hurts can’t read the field, we know this.  So he’s not going to notice that they are running flood right and there’s nobody but a creeping S on the left side of the field to change his progression.  Barkley needs to stutter step or feign blocking there and then release.  The swing was not the primary read (and probably never should be unless you have a QB who can understand 2+2=4) as Hurts was focused on the 4 targets opposite side.

2-3 really good throws, outside of that was erratic, took very bad sacks, continually moved the sticks backwards…but yes awesome completion perception and zero turnovers when he was entrusted to throw a whopping 2 times in the second half.  Worth every bit of his contract.  The play before the AJ TD needs to be shown on repeat forever when Hurts is defended.  That was simply f’n atrocious.  He should have been benched.

Lets say this was the superbowl and these were hurts end stats in a super bowl they won would he be worth the contract then?

I dont care about his contract, he wasnt a problem today, eagles won hurts didnt contribute to a loss he can be way better, will he? Probably not but he was good enough today.🤷‍♂️

Siri just said he sat down with Barkley during the game and showed him how close he was to the records. Barkley said to him, let the other guys eat.

Of course he did.

I don’t think he played well. He made a couple of good throws and a nice run but other than that he made some routine throws and handed it off a lot - no TOs though.

Does the above class as playing well ?

Define well?

Huh? I don’t remember this, i am the biggest Hurts realist around these parts, but this seems far fetched.

Rewatch the fox broadcast, Mark Sanchaz was calling it out live as Hurts was yelling over to the sidelines.

Im not disagreeing and hurts wasnt a problem today, next week🤷‍♂️

And though the g men on offense really suck their D is legit

Hurts protected the ball.

He took the sacks versus forcing a bad play.

We ran the ball.

We have a chance this year if we keep this formula and the defense keeps up this play.

If this ended up incomplete then people would bish and moan about the high risk play

Also it would be incredibly frustrating to see him get hurt on a meaningless drive in a game that's in the bag, just to get him a team/personal record.

the announcers did say he looked to the sideline and told them he wanted the push.

Didn’t get a chance to watch much of the game today, but here is a shoutout to our defense. I have been very critical of that side of the ball when I post here and also of the Fangio style of D. Idk, but could they be evolving into a solid unit with these young guys?! I guess we’ll find out the next couple of games, but it does feel good to write something positive about the D for once.😅

Also a big thanks to Saquon 💪🏻💪🏻

Unexpected easy win against the Gmen. 😊

No comment about Hurts - didn’t see enough to say anything either way. Just glad we won…

I assume the Eagles love short-sighted fans like you.

With Hurts 'contract and him playing the way he does ...it is unacceptable. You can get away with it with the Giants and Browns but good luck against the top tier teams. People are not whining here, it called seeing the big picture.

Raiders might lose out

They have no WRs left. Meyers is decent but in no way a top option

I can confirm this, although we can't be sure of what Hurts was yelling, but he was clearly yelling something to the sidelines after Gainwell was stuffed on the previous play.

Of course, Sanchez was talking about the Tush Push on every 4th down, even with 3 or 2 yards to go... so we can't judge by his assessment.

I enjoyed the entire game. This was the closest thing we've seen to the 2022 team where when the opponent took away one facet of the offense, we dominated with the other. We built a lead and sustained it. We had all our backups in for most of the 4th quarter .... "But Hurts ..."

The "But Hurts" crowd is back.

the opponent didnt take away anything. Hurts took away the passing game all by himself.

Was going to say this very thing.

Not to beat a dead horse, but it was the same thing last year when we got beat up by the Jets and I said the team was a dumpster fire. Naturally people pounded their chests that we kept winning, but the writing was on the wall. We saw how that turned out.

Now I'm not saying we're going to collapse on that level again, but we need more *and* consistency out of the position.

The offense and game was our best of the season overall. This is a week after Lane Johnson openly admitted the offense stunk.

What was the solution?

Taking the ball out of Hurts' hands.

The answer is there and people still aren't paying attention.

Beating a division rival like that no matter how pathetic they are will always feel good

Please let this happen twice to Dallas

This is one game where the basic stats are misleading.....he had a couple of great plays but wasn't a consistent game by him. To be fair, Johnson at LT wasnt holding up in pass pro but like you said, he had some bad reads and missed guys.

The difference in this game was the D dominated and the offence just had so many chances. Ignoring grabage time we had 6 drives in the 1st half (4 punts and 2 TDs), and 3 drives in the 2nd half (1 punt, 2 TDs) for a total of 9 drives of which 5 were punts. That efficiency needs to increase - you just wont have the same amount of chances against a good O.

Hurts says we are still testing our efficiency! Whatever that means.

I dont know who grades turnover worthy plays, but he definitely almost threw an INT on the 2nd or 3rd play of the game last week against the Browns.
