Really enjoying the whining in here lately. Second-best part of the last two Sundays, IMO.

Mahomes with 8 interceptions on the season, his interception streak just keeps going with 2 more today.  Purdy with 2 more interceptions of his own today to give him 6 on the year.

Ofc there's "fans" complaining about Hurts after a big win 😆

People are allowed to point out concerns despite a win, especially when it’s at the most important position. I’m happy they won, have loved the defense the past two weeks, am pumped the pass rush now has a pulse, and enjoy Saquon looking like he’s still at Penn St.

But Hurts is stil a problem and I’ve been clamoring for them to delegate him to a game manager who limits turnovers, so I’m glad they went that route today. I’ve said all season long that he’s closer to Tua and Purdy than he is Mahomes or Allen. They just have to realize it and call games that way. He can still impact games with his legs and throws a good deep ball to AJ. But that’s it and he doesn’t make anymore around him better.

I don’t think this style of football is deep playoff run material because all the stars have to align, but it will lead to more enjoyable watches like we had today. It’s pretty much what they did in the second half of 2021. But at least they have Saquon at RB instead of Miles Sanders and the way the defense is coming around, I think they’ll be better than the one in 2021 as well.

What a wild chart.

There were people comparing he and Mahomes/Allen in the Hurts thread.

There are absolutely people saying it

Mahomes is really struggling this year. I know QB play around the entire NFL is way down, but you'd think he'd still be him.

For reference Hurts (who is also struggling), has 1 more TD pass, 4 less Ints, higher passer rating, and higher QBR.

High school

Where was that giving mahomes a break? Literally it said mahomes is turning it over more. I mean instead of having an objective how about you read what’s Fing in the beginning of the paragraph

I'm pointing out the crazy from other fans. Just look at how others are excusing his play based on his accomplishments. Hurts has a solid game in a blowout, and he's still being criticized. It's just laughable. Also Purdy just threw a pick, but our fans would probably excuse it since he's without his starting WRs. They wouldn't do the same for Hurts

Feels like kelce just can’t get open like he did in previous years too. Some of this is on the fact rice and brown aren’t there so teams just taking him away. Probably open up things more than just worthy who’s still learning the system as a rookie.

He's 34 or 35.  Likely plays a role.

Cool where did I say anything about Jalen hurts today? Go look. I actually gave him credit today. So you’re making a comment to someone about other fans on here. So go after them. Again, my comment went after Mahomes cause I said he is turning it over more this year. It’s a problem with my other point Nagy is a crap coach

Well, we're talking about the board?

I'm sure there's people on Twitter and whatever doing the same.

I think that is some of it. I think teams are like we’re gonna force you to have to beat us with a rookie wide receiver, juju Smith-Schuster and skyy Moore at wr

Barkley, the defense, the OL (run blocking) and even Gainwell are the story of this game.   Hurts, at most, gets an honorable mention.   That was a 2000 Trent Dilfer type performance where he just hands the ball off to Jamal Lewis and let's him and the defense take care of the rest.

Some people want to make this game about Hurts?  Nah.  He was a spectator for most of the day today.  He was almost a non-factor.  It's good that he didn't turn the ball over.   Meanwhile, this team had 4 scoring drives...  they had 5 non-scoring drives (Not counting anything after they pulled the starters).

1st half:

Drive 1: 17 yards of offense.  1 run, 3 called passes (1 sack).  0 points.
Drive 2: -4 yards of offense.  1 run, 3 called passes (1 sack).  0 points.
Drive 3: 22 yards of offense.  5 runs, 3 passes (1 sack).  0 points.

Drive 4: 74 yards of offense.   5 runs, 0 passes.  7 points.

Drive 5: 58 yards of offense.  2 runs, 4 passes.  7 points.

Drive 6: -9 yards of offense.  1 run, 2 passes (1 sack).  0 points.

2nd half:

Drive 7: 4 yards of offense.  1 run, 2 passes.  0 points.

Drive 8: 77 yards of offense.  8 runs, 2 passes.  7 points.

Drive 9: 92 yards of offense.  10 runs, 0 passes.  7 points.

Now, tell me how involved Hurts was in the domination.   He made one really nice throw to Brown for the TD on 4th and 3.  Ironically, because of how poorly he executed a much easier pass on 3rd and 3.   Hurts was not the story of today's game... at all.

Hurts was fine.  Completes 71% of his passes with a passing TD - beautiful bomb play - as he’s become brilliant at doing on a consistent basis.  Trent Dilfer could only dream of bomb plays like that.

With an additional 2 rushing TD’s - which added to a "groundbreaking” performance on the ground by the offense.  (Pun intended)

3 total TD’s.

On a day that both the offense and defense dominated - Barkley with another historic day against his former team and the defense was lights out.

And you’re on here - long winded as usual - talking mental gymnastics about how 3 TD’s, 71% completion % with zero turnovers is somehow a "bad thing” for a QB - when the gameplan was obvious to anyone who has been watching football for more than a week - they were going to ground and pound it all game - which is exactly what they did with enormous success.  Just stop.

You’re a well respected guy around here - don’t let your blatant dislike of Hurts tarnish your otherwise good reputation.

There is never ending supply of whine from Hurts apologists. Its amazing. Anyone who is honest about his play sets them off to no end.

Anyone see how nice Mariota's stat line looks? Thats crazy.

Chiefs should run a shovel pass

Supposedly? He's only 29 and he's got a list of achievements other QBs couldn't dream of

Kingsbury has been on fire this year.

But also Panthers

You gotta feel good about seeing a 4-2 Washington team now lead by Mariota. But they still put up 40 points, and now it feels like we will get another Cooper Rush type of game when we play them. lol.

I never said you were criticizing him, lol. but you're also pointing out how bad the OC is, to which I'm saying it shouldn't matter.

Also, Mahomes just missed a wide open WR for a TD at the goal line, but is he going to be crucified like Hurts is for that? No.

Can we please stop using Hurts’s total TDs to justify that it makes him a better QB. We all watch the games and know what kind of TDs they are. He’s a good goalline back with a gimmick play. Barkley should have had 3 TDs today but they juice Hurts’s numbers with the gimmick. It’s fine, it works, it’s basically undefendable, they should keep doing it, but we all know what it is.
