Worthy is not really useful. He is a decoy, and not a very good one. You still have to not let him beat you deep, but you should take a look at the efficiency there. He gets a lot of targets, and very few catches. Think someone 10x weaker than Jahan Dotson, and 20x weaker than Quez Watkins.

I expected Reid to be more creative with getting him the ball in more effective ways. You cant just use that guy like a traditional WR. Hes too weak for the league.

Frankly i was surprised with rice done for the year and brown likely also done for the year that they didn’t get involved in the cooper and Adams sweepstakes more.

Is that 3 picks for Purdy?

Wtf is this "red area" crap? Did someone get offended over the word zone so now "Red zone" isn't PC?

Reid just doesnt believe in having weapons for his QBs.

You get 3 points for Home field right?

Used to be that way. Not sure if that’s still the case or not.

yes

This is the most odd year for QBs I can remember. It's like they are all rookies all over again.

If a non-QB doesn't win MVP this year, then it might just be a wrap for good.

I think they need to start forcing the ball to DeVonta Smith. He wasn't needed today but I see no reason for Gainwell (despite a good game today) to get getting multiple targets before they even get the ball in #6's hands. He's too good to ignore. Draw up plays to get him the ball.

With that being said, a lot to like today.

-Cooper DeJean is the real deal, both as a DB and a returner. I said it when they drafted him, but I think his return capabilities push Covey off the roster. I think you look to move Covey for a draft pick at the deadline (if he's off IR by then). There's just no room for him on the roster. A contender will have a need for a PR.

-Quinyon Mitchell is also the truth. My goodness. Nothing else to say.

-Love to see the improvement from Nolan Smith. If he can continue to get better that would he HUGE, not only for this year but moving forward. Ditto for Jalyx Hunt. If Smith, Huff and Hunt can put it together, I would feel so much better about this team moving forward.

-Nakobe Dean....I hate you, I love you. Is he good enough in certain areas for us to ignore his terrible missed tackles and being out of position numerous times during the game? Terrific blitzer as we all knew he was coming out of UGA.

-Using BVS at fullback is awesome. Somewhere, RR is nutting in his pants. Maybe BVS should give Burks 57 and get back in his MSU 42 and really become a two-way player.

-Saquon Barkley. Worth every penny.

-Yes, the final score was great, but it's not enough to make me ignore the 1st quarter AGAIN. Week in and week out, this team is not prepared to play. That's on coaching.

-Hurts scramble to get the 1st down was one of his best runs I've seen in some time. He was turnover free today but it still feels like he's not seeing the field at all. His play in the 1st quarter, taking sacks, not throwing the ball away was really discouraging.

Good win today. I'm most excited about the young guys on defense and Saquon Barkley. Still a long way to go before I feel confident in this team though.

Idk about that rice and brown were pretty good weapons heading into the year.

Honestly if Barkley keeps it up he should be top 3 for MVP this year.

And miraculously will be more in the mix than Hurts by seasons end, I think

That’s an Andy Reid and Spags comment more than anything else.

And I say that while still thinking Mahomes is probably a top 5 QB of all time.  But let’s just not forget who helped him become that

Could make the case for Goff right now. Has 10 tds to 4 ints. Last 3 games been ridiculous. 8 tds to 0 ints, completing 85% (58-68) of his passes and averaging QB rating of 150

I love when people question fandom if you criticize something

People can be critical or pessimistic by nature and that's just who they are. I don't understand, though, why some fans actively root against some players, coaches, GMs, etc... on the team they supposedly root for. There's nothing wrong with wanting a player to play better, get better, etc... but that process can take a long time. I'd rather root for a person to improve than demand he lose his job --- especially when there isn't somebody else that has earned the job.

Just a few weeks ago, the internet was littered with Eagles fans conceding that N. Smith was a bust, Dean was a bust, Huff was a bust, Carter was nearing bust status, Fangio was useless,  etc... I mean, it's way too early to give up on players (especially young players) because of a slow start. Football is a team sport and sure a single player can be a statistical star when a team isn't playing well and is losing games, but that player by himself isn't making a difference. Dean isn't going to have a great game if Carter, Davis, Williams, Booker, and Ojomo aren't doing their jobs. Smith, Huff and Carter aren't going to make a ton of plays if the secondary stinks.

More important than individual stats is how the team is playing. The Eagles didn't win in spite of Hurts or Sirianni --- they won with Hurts and Sirianni and Dean and Carter and Huff, and Baun and Barkley and D. Smith and Calcaterra and Fred Johnson ...

We are now 4-2 having only played 2 games at home so far.

Look at the very bottom of the screen.

Our rookie > their rookie.

Id argue the plays looked effective, and the QB botched them resulting in 4 punts to begin the game. Cant put that on coaching.

It wasnt penalties like false starts, illegal formations, man down field, holding.

It wasnt drops, or incorrect routes.

It was 100% QBing. Thats not on coaches. Thats on the QB.

Taylor Swift is also halfway done draining his soul

well hes not just going to cut good ones. But they let Hill go and have done nothing to replace him until this year when they reached for Worthy (Reid never was good at drafting WR).

Rice is there, but he wasnt a high pick. Reid doesnt value it much.

I dont know how you can question it. If his KC recent history isnt enough, we did live through over a decade of terrible WRs in Philly. Everyone knows this. Its pretty much irrefutable.

Howie f'in nailed this pick.

We see and hear pretty much nothing from him every game which is the best compliment you can give a corner. When he learns how to catch, he’ll be the total package. But you can make the case that he’s been the best player on the defense this year.

That's game. Niners don't look great.

She only uses relationships as inspiration for break up songs, so he's on borrowed time

I never said you were criticizing him, lol. but you're also pointing out how bad the OC is, to which I'm saying it shouldn't matter.

Also, Mahomes just missed a wide open WR for a TD at the goal line, but is he going to be crucified like Hurts is for that? No.

No because he will make up for it and not cost his team the game

Rice was a 2nd round pick. I’d classify that as a high pick. It wasn’t a first but a 2nd round pick isn’t like some mid round pick. And they signed Hollywood brown this offseason. also they spent a first on worthy this year. I can’t argue his past but this year they gave mahomes weapons at WR heading into the year. 3 out of his 5 starting weapons got hurt. So they spent a 1st, 2nd and signed brown in the past two years.

i don’t know how you argue heading into the season that rice, brown, worthy, Pacheco and kelce weren’t giving good weapons to mahomes.
