I’m in enjoy the win mode. There’s a lot of football left and they could still get on a roll or completely fall apart. Regardless of what you feel the odds are of each they are both still possible so my feeling is ride the hope while it’s here.

As long as the defense keeps progressing and saquan keeps doing his thing, jalen can keep doing his low percentage passes. I think his idea is if he hits 3 a game and they run it in the rest of the way if it's not a td, they'll score plenty. Worked today.

I'm also not trying to get my hopes up as well, but this team just feels different last year it was about how gritty they are which was a joke. This year with the youth of the team in key positions it feels like a growing up phase especially on defense. I believed next year the defense would show their capabilities but right now they're beating my expectations. The young guys are staring to shine (Carter, Mitchell, Dejean, Dean, Smith, Dean and Ringo). The defense's future looks bright especially if Vangio can get Hunt going.

I think Carter is a superstar in the making, Q has the makings of a star CB. Rest of the guys seem like solid complimentary starters. Even Jordan Davis I think is fine. He’s been getting the bust label unfairly lately because he’s not popping on the stat sheet, but I think he’s doing the dirty selfless work on the DL. His impact on run defense shows. If these young guys on defense can keep developing well, we’ll have a stout defense for sure. I want to keep Baun around for another couple years, really like him so far.

Jalen Mills making plays in green feels right.

Step up into the pocket? Did you watch the game?

He stayed in the pocket, isn't taking off and running exactly what people have complained about for three years?

You can't throw it away in the pocket. It's called intentional grounding.

Evidently you didn't. There were a few times that he had plenty of time to step forward or to run forward.

No. Taking off from a clean pocket and rolling to his right when there's no pressure is the issue. Stepping up into and running through a pocket or escaping the pocket when there's legitimate pressure on him is entirely different and I think you know that.

No kidding. He can escape pressure and throw it away from outside of the pocket. Obviously I'm not talking about if he was hit within a second, but the majority of his sacks were stupidity on his part.

You're being unusually obtuse today

Going well in SF

Not surprising with the way it bent.

Losing the SB takes a brutal toll on teams.

The thing I like about Dejean…

If someone said he needed to focus on becoming outside CB2 opposite Mitchell, I think he could do it.  If you want to groom him as the slot CB, that would work.

If someone said he had to be the safety of the future, they could coach him into that and he’d be our best option.

And if someone said he had to be a LB (for argument sake), I think you could give him an offseason to gain the weight and he might be our best option as an off ball LB.

Im only half kidding when I say I think he might be the 3rd best WR option on the team.

He just feels like one of those types of players.

I did post a quote a while back where his coach at Iowa said they were working on an offensive package for him as a WR. Yes, the guy can do it all. On top of all that, if the 6ers need a backup PG, he can be that guy too.

Niners are in trouble even if they get back CMC. Their back half of the schedule is much harder. They should’ve beaten a bad cardinals and banged up rams team. They play Dallas next week then go into the bye. After the bye they have at Tampa, vs. Seattle, at Gb, at Buffalo, vs. bears, vs. rams, at Miami,  vs. Detroit and at Az. Az and Miami are the easiest but Miami will have Tua back (if he stays healthy til then) and the cardinals gave them everything they could handle in SF.

At least Fields can run. I don't know why Tomlin got Russ in there.

It's called enjoying victories. You should try it. A lot of miserable a-holes on here basically missed out on the last SB run because they were so negative.

Just because I'm not singing the praises of a QB who scraped together less than 150 all purpose yards doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the win.

Just like last year, anyone saying anything not overwhelmingly positive after a win was talked down to.

At least get a few carries. He could be McCaffery good at tv when he is bigger next year

If he had to put all effort into being a WR, I’d have a hard time not believing he’d be the best WR on this team not named AJ or Devonta.

Uncomfortable stat:

Olamide Zacheus: 15 rec 151 yards with Commanders

Jahan Dotson: 6 rec 35 yards with us

And they have our 3rd round pick.

I blame Hurts.

But, theres a reason I was just fine with WR3 by committee when it was just gonna be guys like Covey, Campbell, and Wilson. I knew that there werent going to be targets for WR3.

So I guess if I knew that, you can argue the GM should have recognized the QB problem, and knew that too.

AND then again, I cant blame him for putting as many weapons as possible around Hurts. If he Hurts fails, you leave him no excuses. GMs job is to improve the team so he did that.

Because Fields isn’t that good either. He’s figuring he has nothing to lose, long term.

Especially when it leads them to invest in subpar QBs
