I’d say eagles but that price is enormous but he is a DPOY type of player. Frankly it’s why i said last offseason, they should’ve been in on the Brian burns sweepstakes

Going to the game. Happy for it to be flexed.

Good. They don't deserve to have a national televised game

That's a fair take, putting Hurts at 8th. I think you can argue anywhere from 5-12 in the league, and I'd lean closer to around 7-10. Herbert, Stroud, Love, Goff and Stafford could all be ahead of him. I know Geno is lighting it up, but...he's Geno.

12-15 range

Good - means I can see more games

I think it's more about the Jags if anything.

What are the odds Doug is the HC into that game? I could totally see the jags organization firing him the week before. Still more likely he is but wouldn’t be shocked

2nd game that was flexed for the Eagles

I was a fan of the pick.  Unique physical profile at a premium position.

Also, to revisit the draft compensation.  They included picks 124, 162 and 166 to move up two spots.  That equates to a late third/early fourth round pick.

The same scouting department was able to identify and sign Reed Blankenship as a UDFA that year.  He is, IMO, an above-average starting safety that would have been worthy of a late third- or early fourth-round pick.

It's easy to focus on the misses.  But just look at this roster as a whole.  They do a good job overall at acquiring and keeping talent.

And here we are being accepting of middling talent.  The goal is to hit on those high picks because those are the guys that can be transformative for a franchise.  Getting a middling guy in round 1, and then finding another middling guy as a UDFA to make up for trading away other picks that could also be middling is why the defense has become so middle of the road.  Eventually you need to find a player that's actually better than average.  And I think you are overrating Blankenship a bit.  He's a fine starting safety... but I'm not sure I'd say above average just yet, but maybe.

It is easy to focus on the misses, especially the defensive ones, because there have been so many.  They do a good job overall of acquiring OFFENSIVE talent... and of being forced to fix the defense continually through FA moves.  They had to sign Reddick, then Huff... why?   Because they missed on Barnett.  He was a middling DE, and they wanted more impact.  They trade for Slay and sign him to a big deal... and Bradberry a year later, because they couldn't figure it out with Rasul Douglas and Sydney Jones.

Maybe they've finally gotten it right with Carter, Mitchell and DeJean. Maybe they have gotten it right with them because they evaluated where they failed and looked to improve rather than being content with average performers.  Failing to admit mistakes, or to evaluate previous results leads to nothing but more of the same.  Is that the goal?

100%. He bought himself a few more weeks after this past Sunday

They play GB this week, which I am guessing is a loss. But I'm not sure Khan eats the money. It's not like there is a season to save.

Taking my dad (as a surprise), and he's 80. Probably best he isn't sitting out at night in the cold.

Goff right now is 100% a head of him. Goff is playing his best football of his career. He’s 58-68 in his last 3 games with 7 tds and 0 ints. He has 9tds to 15 incompletions in his last 4 games. The lions offense is loaded but he might be playing the best of any Qb in the league right now.

Stroud has definitely not played as well as last year. Love needs to get his turnovers down like hurts had an issue with the first 4 weeks. They are all close together right now.

Smart. That game had no business being on for SNF

Goff is clearly the best QB in the NFC right now, which sounds weird.

It’s weird cause when he came out of cal i was super high on him. I even said i think he’s better than wentz and he’d be the Qb I’d choose if I had the choice (before the draft and before they played a nfl snap). He was inconsistent with the rams and frankly felt like everytime they faced a good defense like NE in the sb he’d crumble. He’s gotten better each year with Detroit. Then again having a top ranked OL helps as it keeps him clean and he can function at a high level. I do want to see what that offense can do against a defense like the chiefs. It’s a fascinating matchup of Johnson vs. spags

saquon has to have at least 4 of those.

Goff is a QB who if you put him on like the Steelers he'd look terrible. I think he's found the perfect fit and the perfect system. When Ben Johnson is coaching the Eagles next year, interested to see if Goff regresses.

You might want to try taking a few deep breaths and read the tweets a bit more slowly before reflexively responding.

He's saying maybe we're overweighing turnovers. It's not difficult to grasp. He also thinks it's his worst showing this season.

He also mentioned how many times he dropped back and took sacks - last I checked the Giants lead the league in sacks. So he's apparently placing the blame on Hurts for those sacks, as if the Giants pass rush had nothing to do with it.

Would you say it's Daniel Jones' fault for all the sacks the Eagles had yesterday, or would you credit the defense for making the play? I get that sometimes QB's hold it too long, but aside from the 2 missed passing opportunities to Smith and Barkley, he didn't really hold onto it too long. Also, neither of those 2 plays lead to a sack.

So you're sitting in the crowd with the poors instead of in a suite?  :nonono:
