Goff is a QB who if you put him on like the Steelers he'd look terrible. I think he's found the perfect fit and the perfect system. When Ben Johnson is coaching the Eagles next year, interested to see if Goff regresses.

The elite OL is a great fit for him, too.  Goff has always been really good when he's in rhythm and on script; when he's moved off his spot or forced to hold the ball he really struggles.  He doesn't do well with contact.

Goff is clearly the best QB in the NFC right now, which sounds weird.

You could argue Mayfield as well. I think the Lions have the better team when Dan isn't making gutsy stupid decisions, but Goff is having a really good year. I think the Rams gave up on him too soon, but I'm sure Goff is happier now.

They play GB this week, which I am guessing is a loss. But I'm not sure Khan eats the money. It's not like there is a season to save.

Taking my dad (as a surprise), and he's 80. Probably best he isn't sitting out at night in the cold.

Tbh if GB goes in there and just destroys them and it’s not close I do wonder how close they are. Bye week isn’t til week 12 and khan is a bad owner so

I don’t think these games being flexed is a reflection of the Eagles.

So you're sitting in the crowd with the poors instead of in a suite?  :nonono:

LOL. Getting the tickets via an auction thing, so they are 100 level apparently. The real surprise for dad is we are having lunch with Howie on Friday. Me, dad, my brother and my buddy from LA and his kid.

Shame saquon was stuck in NY for his first few seasons.

Tell Howie to go get Myles Garrett for Hanukkah

He's saying maybe we're overweighing turnovers. It's not difficult to grasp. He also thinks it's his worst showing this season.

He also mentioned how many times he dropped back and took sacks - last I checked the Giants lead the league in sacks. So he's apparently placing the blame on Hurts for those sacks, as if the Giants pass rush had nothing to do with it.

Would you say it's Daniel Jones' fault for all the sacks the Eagles had yesterday, or would you credit the defense for making the play? I get that sometimes QB's hold it too long, but aside from the 2 missed passing opportunities to Smith and Barkley, he didn't really hold onto it too long. Also, neither of those 2 plays lead to a sack.

Which is what he also said earlier in the year when defending Hurts. Fran is being logically consistent. Now I'd disagree with it being Hurts' worst showing this season (I think he was worse against TB and maybe ATL too) but it's definitely somewhere in the bottom 3. And yes, Hurts absolutely deserves some blame for the sacks when he literally gave himself up for one of them untouched.

He also ran around backwards about 10 yards, clearly out of the tackle box and rather than throwing the ball away out of bounds, took the sack.   The pressure on that play wasn't his fault... but failing to get rid of the ball absolutely was.  If he had time to run backwards 10 yards and then reverse his field, he had time to throw the ball out of bounds.

Don’t know how legit it is but there’s apparently a rumor the chiefs inquired about cooper kupp

Doesn't Saquon have like 5 runs or more than 40 yards?

I was a fan of the pick.  Unique physical profile at a premium position.

Also, to revisit the draft compensation.  They included picks 124, 162 and 166 to move up two spots.  That equates to a late third/early fourth round pick.

The same scouting department was able to identify and sign Reed Blankenship as a UDFA that year.  He is, IMO, an above-average starting safety that would have been worthy of a late third- or early fourth-round pick.

It's easy to focus on the misses.  But just look at this roster as a whole.  They do a good job overall at acquiring and keeping talent.

Hated the pick then, hate it now. Kyle Hamilton was should have been the target all along. I don't think Blankenship is above average. I think he's average. He's not a JAG, but he's easily replaceable IMO.

This is almost like saying it's OK they missed badly on Andre Dillard because the found Mailata in the 7th. No, Dillard was still a huge miss (another guy they traded up for).

Jordan Davis should be moved. He's not getting a 2nd contract here, unless he comes back at an extremely team friendly, true market value deal. He's not worth the 2nd contract he is most likely expecting.

I get moving Jags-Eagles out of SNF but for Colts-Vikings? Colts suck.  Vikings will destroy them.

I don't mind giving himself up if nothing's there and we aren't in scoring position. The sack you're talking about, we were at our own 26 and he really didn't have time to get rid of it.  I believe all of those sacks came on 3rd and 10+, so he has to hold the ball longer to let routes develop. I also don't see the issue with him scrambling when there's pressure. Yeah, a couple of those scrambles went for sacks, but he actually avoided a sack and ran to pick up a huge 1st down on 3rd and 7, which eventually lead to a TD. He picked up another huge 1st on 4th and 2 in the redzone, which also lead to a TD.

We can agree to disagree on blame, and I simply fail to see his logic in it being a bad showing.

Oh Jeezus.  This post most certainly woke up Random Reglar.

Yeah, 3rd and 10, no WR's open, pressure is already there. Ball was at our 49 and I'd rather he throw it away there too, but a sack there really doesn't hurt us as throwing it out of bounds still equals us punting on 4th down.

I do, especially when there's a lane to break the pocket and throw it away. Field position matters.

Field position matters.   At the time, it was a scoreless game.   Pinning the Giants inside the 10 is easier when you are punting from mid field than from your own 40.   And if he throws the ball away, he doesn't get landed on by the big uglies chasing after him.   It's just the smart play.
