Just to revisit the offseason coaching discussion …

I said if the Eagles have a good year, Siri stays and Kellen Moore becomes a HC, leaving us with someone new running the offense in 2025.

If the Eagles have a bad year, they all get fired anyway.

The Eagles are sort of threading the needle right between those two scenarios where you might see both Siri and Moore return.

Every week is a referendum on Sirianni.  If he gets fired and Moore stays, I think the most likely scenario is that Sirianni gets fired midseason.

Time for Howie to work some magic. Dotson doesn't have a role here. Trade him to the Bucs. Ainias Smith is back, Parris Campbell is on the 53 now, Covey comes back soon.

Or we can start throwing to him? The #3 receiver never has a role here.

I would absolutely trade Dotson away to recoup the poor investment that Howie made in him. I think we could likely extract a conditional third/fourth for him.

I think they’d need to call plays for him, sort of like the game where Covey got a handful of targets.

Why - he's insurance if a WR goes down.

Lamar still hasn't been to a SB and has consistently choked in the postseason. Not saying he's not a "great" QB, but him having a great regular season is nothing new.  I mean the guy does have 2 MVPs

I’d say he’s on his way to #3.

Apparently Lafleur said something in an interview recently about wanting his players to wake up with 'their piss hot' whatever the f*** that means.

For me the weirdest one is Herbert, threw for 5000 yards and 38 TD's his second year, here we are in year 5 and he's pacing for a shade under 2800 and ~19TD's, they've spent a 1st and a 2nd in the last 2 drafts on WR's

It's not that weird when you see the carousel they've had at OC. Herbert on the Lions, Niners, or Dolphins would put up crazy numbers.

I agree.  He's competent.   And, unlike most of the rest of the defense, when he gets his hands on the ball, he seems to be able to hold on to it, which is again something this fan base is thirsty for.   But, he's not a top 10 guy.  I'd say he's probably not even top 20.   He's an average safety, which is a massive upgrade from the likes of Terrell Edmunds, Kevin Byard and the others that have cycled through here in recent years.   He might develop more into that guy, but he's not there yet.

Byard is actually playing pretty well in Chicago. I guess we can thank Patricia for his time here.

I can't argue with that.  He was horrible here though.  Maybe it was all business decisions.

Insert Justin Evans for Byard then.   Same point.

I'm CAUTIOUSLY optimistic about the defense - would love to see them perform well against a good offense

Green it is.

In fairness byard wasn’t playing well with the titans last year before he was traded. Every titans podcast had reporters saying he wasn’t playing all that well prior to the deal. He was bad here but it was really just a complete down year for him.

I’m wondering if he had some sort of "undisclosed” nagging injury.   Seemed to mysteriously lose a step last season - and apparently has gotten it back this season.   SMH.

Paying a QB $255M to be barely average?  You could say that

With a stacked offense

We lost receivers and he's only been targeted 13 times

Or all black

The Eagles record sucks in green.

Why is it taking so long to make the kelly green permanent?

When we wearing Kelly green ?

That's the case for a lot of teams though, so I don't really understand why we keep complaining about it. Most team's #3 WR don't have a ton of catches, nor do they get a ton of targets.

Because its the wrong shade of green and they can't get the helmets right.

Yeah, especially with QB play as a whole being below par this season. He and Goff are the frontrunners right now after last night, but we still have a good amount of games to go.

Especially when the QB doesn't get that far in the progressions

I remember in 2023 it was said they were going to do a new design for the jersey in 2024

Guess that didn't happen
