So, is this the QB he's going to be now? A game manager? Is it worth paying $240 million for a QB to just not turn the ball over? Are people actually happy about that sack because he protected the ball? If this is the new standard, you might as well be the team that tries the draft a game manager every 4 years who can manage the game and when he's due a contract, you trade him for more assets and repeat the process. I mean what are we doing here? We have two of the best WR in the game and what we're happy about is he used both hands? His deep balls the last 2 weeks to AJ Brown were both great. That's something to like but my goodness the bar is incredibly low right now.

Another good sign is that Hurts seems to be taking better care of the football in the pocket. Yes, it’s a small sample size, but he didn’t try to force anything while holding the ball loosely as the pocket collapsed on the four sacks he took against the Giants. On one, he simply fell to the turf in a cradle position with both hands on the ball before the rush got there.

A cynic would say he saw ghosts. But maybe it's just him taking better care of the ball.

An interesting look at the game through the eyes of the Giants.

He pointed out some weaknesses we have on defense that better qbs may exploit, and how they defended third and long which gave us problems. It is worth watching for the angst alone.

I mean rivers has a chance to make the HOF. I can’t really argue that was a swing and a miss on the Qb position. I’d argue he also had a bad owner and played in the afc peak Brady, Big Ben and manning for much of his career

Oddly…he was 2-1 vs Manning (that loss was against the corpse of Peyton) and then 0-3 vs Brady, 0-1 against Ben (i think that was the ACL game).  I mentioned it earlier, but any coach not named Norv Turner (Jeff Fischer doppleganger) wins a SB with him.

Digging deeper…he never lost a WC game in his career, unlike Eli being bounced 4 of 6 times. Manning 3-4.

Rivers was a great QB IMO.  Him and Ben were a possibly on par with Peyton or just a hair below.

Commanders release 2021 first-rounder Jamin Davis.

Former 1st round pick available?

I have to assume that the available roster spot is going to go to Driscoll. He’s been activated the last two weeks anyway. It’s obvious they prefer him over our other backups. May as well make it official.

It kinda has to go to Smith because his 21 day window is coming to an end. I don’t really get why but if he hasn’t had a setback, which doesn’t seem like he has since he’s been practicing, they don’t have much of a choice.

RR "bring him in to play TE"

What do you guys think of Jamin Davis LB Kentucky? - The Den

I think his tonic has been playing against two poor teams.  I’d feel a lot better with a couple of 14-point first quarters

I actually really liked him coming into the draft - more as 2nd / 3rd rounder but then he started climing rapidly up the boards all the way to mid 1st round.

But we already have 5 LBs on the roster. Cant imagine them making this move

I’d definitely like to see Tortorella fired before Sirianni.  The Flyers have gone as far as they can with a bombastic head coach with a short shelf life.

Could easily release a guy like Byron Young or at the very least, sign him to the PS.

I’m for the full on tank and hoping we win the lottery tho

Now THIS is a move I'm on board with.

They’d just draft another Nolan Patrick at #2

I didn’t really know who he was but assumed he’d be good because he has a prototypical hockey name

I'm about to move.  This weekend.  From Southern CA where I grew up and where I've been for the last 22.5 years up to Sparks, NV.  The movers came today.  The head guy of the crew arrived wearing an Eagles hat.  He said that when he saw my Eagles flag out front, he knew he was in the right place.

RIP Fernando Valenzuela.  A bit eerie that he should pass away right before a Dodgers-Yankees World Series

You'd figure with AJ, DeVonta and even Dotson along with Goedert (when available) they could be a pass heavy team and throw it all over the field.

Hurts is just not being decisive enough with where he wants to go with the ball.  If you go back and look at 2022 he was much more decisive and getting the ball out quicker.

I don't know if he is scared to let it fly on some throws or what.  It's best he doesn't turn it over obviously but he can't hold it forever.

Some talking head said Yesterday that some difficult throws he makes look easy and some easy throws he makes look difficult, I think him having so much time back there sometimes is worse because he has time to overthink it and struggles to make a decision, whereas if he had less time and just had to send it (like the 4th down to Brown) he'd be more decisive and better for it.

Because he knows he is throwing to a spot pre snap. So no thinking. He still struggles when he has to read a defense

Hopkins to the Chiefs for a conditional 4th.

Decent move, I guess, but he's not nearly the player he once was.

The chiefs WR strategy is strange. Since hill left they've never really had a top receiver yet still manage to win SBs. Kelce was obviously the main guy for a number of years but he's on the decline now

Same with RBs - when was the last time they had a rusher over 1000 yards?
