Well here we are, the Bengals game.  Before the season, I just shook my head because I knew whenever we play them, its' always a crazy game.   Well the last one ended in a Tie. Jalen played in that game in a limited role his rookie year with 2 carries for 5 yards.  As everyone knows, the Eagles have a losing record against the Bengals all time.  3-9-2.   They are also 0-4-1 in Cincy over the last 50 years.  The last Win against the Bengals was Christmas Eve 2000 (Jamarr Chase wasn't even one yet, lol).  The last 5 games are L, Tie, L, L, Tie.   So yes nobody said it would be easy.   Burrow and that Offense can put up points.

The Eagles D has done a great job over the last few weeks not allowing a single TD. They will now have to contain Burrow and Chase.  The Bengals Defense gets some heat but they have kept them in games earlier in the season.  Bengals normally start slow and pick up in the middle of the season.   They're on a two game winning streak.   I'm confident the Eagles can win.  Saquon has already done so much for this team.  They must continue to run the ball and take those shots when needed.   Defense will have to pressure Burrow  and try to avoid those explosive plays downfield.  .

HE - I just re-watched it in slow motion.  He grabbed his facemask with two fingers... it's the very first thing you see.    Impossible to miss really.

For anyone unsure how the ref misses that minimal facemask contact, here is the refs view of Young's arm at shoulder/chest level.

2 fingers. But again, watch how much the shoulder pads are moved off of his shoulder. Most of the torque is applied at shoulder level. He isnt really violently grapped and spun down. A lot of the head turn at the end looked more like Darnold's reaction than force applied by Young. There was contact made elsewhere, not just the facemask. It was incidental. With Young's arm being weapped where it was, and some of his hand being on the shoulder pads, Im not sure he even knew he had facemask there.

^usually the head jerking around rapidly is a sign of a facemask penalty being committed

i just saw him celebrate his sack and do the safety dance.

You run around like this for a couple seconds with your head your hands, and that’s basically a face palm.

Some of you still haven't realized that some "fans" just don't understand what they're watching and trying to talk any sense into them is a waste of time.

Your furry costume must have blocked your view of the game.

Nah - at first he had 100% conviction that it was an "incidental" facemask.  Then when it became obvious that he was making himself look even more retarded than usual, he pivoted to posting more outlandish takes to fall back on the "I was trolling the whole time" schtick.  That's his M.O. every day.

And don't forget time zone difference. It's like 2 in the morning there!

Am I really the only one that got that?

Well, it did help me pass the time while I was eating breakfast at the diner.

Incidentally, at what age do you get to be a group of old guys at the diner having breakfast together?

I would think after retirement, so somewhere in your 60s?

Used to be earlier, as the generation ahead me could retire at 55 (at least in my line of work), but yeah 60s now and the olds seem to have part-time jobs too.

Its still incidental. Theres no question about it. I suggest higher definition TVs and possibly upgrading internet. I know a lot of people complain about that Amazon stream.
