I always thought Joe Watson was the weak link on the Cup winning Flyers defensive unit. His younger brother Jimmy was a lot better.

Wasn’t alive then to see it. Watched some of the replays when they come on tv. But my dad said the same thing that he believe Jimmy was the better player.

Laughton keeps it on the 2 on 1 and scores for the 4-1 lead!

Makes It more impressive is that they were all even strength goals. You know the PP is going to get rolling with time.

I couldn't stand Desjardewsh.  He killed so many PPs for the Flyers because he could never keep his shot along the ice and always shot right into the goalie's breadbasket or glove.  I didn't think he was that great defensively, either.  Overrated, IMO.

396 career points.  44% came on the powerplay.  🤷🏻‍♂️

Oh, look.  Numbers with zero context.  Because that's always 100% useful.  Well, maybe he could have had over 450 career points with 50%+ from the PP if he could have kept his damned  shot down instead of shooting into the goalies chest 90%+ of the time, because that's what I clearly remember because of how many times I'd yell at the TV.

We are clearly going to disagree here so how about we just let it rest?

That’s not good. Hoping it’s not a broken ankle but kind of feels like it might be with how it hit the boards

Carter Hart introducing himself to the league, a brick wall. Only beat cause of a fluke goal off of hagg

That a was a pretty convincing win.  After the 1st period we were outplaying them.  Face offs, skating, overall level of play.  The D played well to limit the Bs' O and Hart was just not going to be denied today if there were any lapses on the D.  On O we took our chances well.  Nice to put 4 tallies on the board vs Halak and the Bs.

I’m really happy that I invested in the Carter Hart jersey before the pandemic hit.

Nice to see the long break didn’t cool them off.  Maybe they are just good...

That would be nice, wouldn't it?

Never thought 1 year ago that I'd be saying the Flyers are the best team in town.  But that seems to be the case!

Until he got injured.  It didn't look good for his knee.

No one bothers trying to prove you wrong since it is assumed what you say is just a big load of BS to start with
