Flyers based on the tie breaker of regulation wins, which the Flyers have the lowest of the three.

The have roughly a 20% chance to hit the number one or number two pick in the draft. They’re most likely to pick fifth based on the lottery odds.

Please get a goalie somehow that does not suck

I'll be honest....stopped watching hockey around the time the Legion of Boom went away......but, with the Flyers having 3 first round picks and 4 second rounders.....obviously who they draft will be critical but....will this draft really be enough to bring them back to relative? This sucks, the NBA is almost unwatchable. MLB is meaningless for me until the post season. So it'd be really nice to try and get back into hockey with a Philly team on the ascend.

Needless to say, they need to nail this draft. They have a star in Michkov, but lack a # 1 center, defensemen and goalie. You can likely get one of those in free agency a year or two from now, but they’ll need to draft well to cover those other holes. They’re realistically another 2-3 years from actually competing.

They have Carson Bjarnason in the system. He’s probably your best hope right now.

Frankly we are likely better off tanking for 1 more years and adding to our prospect pool. they really need to hit on at least 3 of picks in this draft. I tend to think We trade some for future assets and maybe a veteran or two.

Doubt it happens by mcdavid is a FA at the end of 2025-26 season. If he doesn’t get an extension then the Flyers should just drop a massive contract as they should have a crap ton of cap space. I believe $57 mil

The NHL Draft is a bit more abstract in that you’re drafting a bunch of 18 year-olds and waiting 2-3 years to assess what you really have in a prospect. Michkov was an outlier, but if you’re picking #7 overall then an outlier is what you expect. This draft they stand to have a top 6 pick or better, so they do need an impact player right away with that pick.

The head coaching hire will be a HUGE decision on the direction of the franchise. Tortorella was a terrible choice, and his 3 years was a decided net-negative for the organization. Hopefully, the development of some of their recent high picks has not been ruined beyond repair.

Agree, but if three firsts and four seconds doesn't produce 2-3 players there is a problem.

I watched the draft show, and my head hurt trying to understand what all those number combinations were supposed to mean. I guess they have to make it complex to avoid having people saying it's rigged. The Flyers got screwed twice- by San Jose and Utah. I knew getting the #1 pick was going to be slim, but I would have been good with staying at 4. The only saving grace is that the experts are saying that it's a weak draft other than the top 2. Only time will tell.

Get #2 overall, it's JvR. Finally find a franchise goalie, gets accused of sexually assaulting a girl. Get #2 overall again, it's Nolan Patrick. 4th worst record, pick 6th. It's like they sold their souls to come back and beat Boston in 2010 and then blew it anyway in the Finals.
