I thought pitlick played well. Defense was trash and everyone else. I think TK is also hurt. Was mention by Jason on the radio broadcast he shied away from contact all night that it might be due to an injury

I’m guessing no. We have a bunch of good players but i don’t think any of them are alphas or a superstar. 

Hopefully AV pulled the top 6 forwards together tonight and had a straight talk with them. Their only goal tonight was from the bottom of the lineup which meant all of these guys took the night off, again.  He’ll have to explain to them that being at the top of the payroll comes with certain expectations.

They've played roughly 15 games now since the restart, so they have their skating legs.  They also had two nights off before this game, so fatigue is no excuse.  AV will have to shorten the bench a bit for Game 4; roll the lines as 1,2,3 — 1,2,4 — 1,2,3 etc.  Hayes, Konecny, Couturier, Voracek, Giroux all need to be over 20 minutes ice time tomorrow and earn their pay check.

JVR is equally accountable but you can’t give him top 6 ice time.  I’d have Farabee up with Hayes and Konecny.  

What would AV say that he hasn't already said.

It is what it is.  These guys are shot.  I agree Giroux won't be traded because of his nmc.  But who would want him now anyway.  It seems like he's aged 10 years over the last year.  Jake as well.  Maybe it's the beards.  Also Niskanen, Braun have looked like they can only watch these younger, faster players go around them.

Our best players have been guys like NAK, Pitlik, Farabee, hell I even feel like Derek Grant was doing good stuff.  I want to see Fletcher bring more like them in.

I pray Lindblom can, in the next 7-8 months, regain everything he lost.  It's not so crazy.  He got sick and than into remission rather quickly.  He could do it.

I'd like to know the probability of Nolan Patrick returning.  When he got it going in 18-19, man, he looked special.

It's really gonna suck if they lose out.  But it will be just like any other year - on to the Eagles. 

This time we'll just have to wait a few days.

I know migraines are bad news, but how can a dude beat cancer in less time? With all the top doctors at their disposal? What the freak?

Yeah -- we need Lavy here so he can abandon Bobrovsky again.  He'd have pulled Hart out after Game 2 vs MTL, and the team would have been golfing by now.

and I’ll say this, this isn’t a coaching thing. This has been the same Fing problem since the New Jersey Devils series in 2012. This is the same crap they pull every single year since then. At some point get rid of players that aren’t winners. I’m sorry giroux as a captain is not a winner. He needs to be Robin to a superstar Batman 

this team just doesnt have that toughness edge like st.louis have. we have too many guys on this team that are just soft. the islanders are the opposite of us, they have that toughness edge that brings to us every game and we cant match it. that's what vegas has, that's what dallas has.  i dont think it's one or two players that's going to fix this, it's probably going to take some major retooling for this team to get back into contention.

Eh eventually the Flyers with lavy began to tune him out as well. I think that only works for so long before it just becomes noise. I don’t think it’s AV’s fault. As much as I love hextall his move for JVR has turned out to not be what he likely envisioned. And I’m betting if you asked the Flyers they’d have also preferred not giving voracek as long term of a deal as they did. 

G, JVR, TK and coots really have massively underperformed in Toronto. Could throw in voracek in the first three games of this series. And that’s not all on the opponent that is on them cause there’s times where it feels like they are just going through the motions.

It still amazes me the amount of excuses Flyers fans give giroux. Like the dude has done next to nothing for the last 4 playoff series and the round robin. Yet tireless defend him with excuse after excuse. It’s like he’s Wayne Gretzky with how much defending he gets.

I wish I had the stats in front of me but one of my friends track down hart’s numbers on back to back nights going back to the minors and he tends to struggle
