"It was reckless not to check who was on the thread. It was reckless to be having that conversation on Signal. You can’t have recklessness as the national security adviser,” the official said.

A person close to the White House was even more blunt: "Everyone in the White House can agree on one thing: Mike Waltz is a Fing idiot.”

Two of the officials said that while Trump may lay blame at the feet of Waltz for potentially compromising U.S. national security, he could just as easily be frustrated with Vance for stepping out of line from the administration’s foreign policy in the chat, or target Hegseth as the one who allegedly shared sensitive details with the group.

"I am not sure the president is aware how inconsistent this is with his message on Europe right now. There’s a further risk that we see a moderate to severe spike in oil prices. I am willing to support the consensus of the team and keep these concerns to myself,” Vance said, according to the Atlantic’s report. "But there is a strong argument for delaying this a month, doing the messaging work on why this matters, seeing where the economy is, etc.”

It's not "nothing" people screwed up and we'll see if Waltz goes, but the middle is it's probably not the biggest scandal they have ever faced that's taking the admin down. They will have to talk about it for a while and their agenda may get knocked off course while they do. There will be more to what they have to deal with, but eventually I doubt it goes past Waltz. The talking point about them using Signal outside the norm seems to be incorrect if the Biden admin used it. Still should do it? No, but that does dilute it. War plans vs strike plans will be hammered out by other people. I don't care to get into that. They shouldn't have done it. Past that others can argue about it I'm not really interested.

Either way I think both sides need to stop using Signal.

Signal is 10000000000% an unapproved method of communicating classified data. That's not an opinion. It's literally a fact.

But here you are force feeding yourself and us provable lies about it like the truth isn't one click away. Holy crap, dude. You're off the reservation.

Please provide us a time when they discussed classified information and invited reporters.

They didn't invite a reporter in and screw up, so we don't know what was said, but we know they used it. Enjoy your day.

Signal is absolutely, positively 100% an unclassified system. That is literally not even up for discussion. Security and classification are two entirely different things.

Yeah, no kidding.

Well, now you have two admins using it. One screwed up in the process the other didn't.

Watters - Might have a wee bit of a security breach

Hannity - what about Biden?

The willful ignorance of the situation and trying to downplay the significance of the F up is hilarious and sad to see

So, it seems the administration's play here is to bank on Goldberg being responsible and not releasing Hegseth's message with attack plans and details. So the press secretary says there was no classified info, and they dare Goldberg to publish that message, which would be knowingly releasing classified info and get him in trouble. In a normal world, Goldberg could turn it over to the FBI, but there's no way Kash Patel would do anything with it. Maybe his best bet is to turn it over to the intelligence committees in the House and Senate.

Well, if they are going to say nothing in that chat is classified, then Goldberg should publish it all. Since it isn't classified.

LOL, Warner already calling her out.

Bold move by them considering Goldberg hid the name of the CIA official

One more person responded: "John Ratcliffe” wrote at 5:24 p.m. with the name of a CIA official to be included in the group. I am not publishing that name, because that person is an active intelligence officer.

^This. Call them on their bluff. We already know there is no lie too big to back down from, so make their lives miserable if they've decided to die on this hill.

I like the points Vance made

I bet you do. Remember how you stayed up late at night reading about how "women on twitter" found him attractive?

They literally are saying the info wasn’t classified to cover up the fact they used signal.  The admin knows for a fact it cannot be used for classified data.  Stop already.  You look foolish.

Using the app and posting sensitive data are two separate things. You know that, right?

Not even a little bit. I remember you trying to troll and taking something out of context about women liking him, but unlike you I don't have the memory of a woman. Wait, are you a woman? The only people who can remember crap like this are pissed off women. But in this context I do like that he had his own thoughts.

We don't know what they used it for because they didn't screw up and invite a reporter in. They weren't just talking about fantasy football.

Well, then I guess you and the Dems have some work to do. Have fun.

I just watched an 18 minute interview with Goldberg and this is pretty much his position.
