Oh I know, we'll be in Italy soon enough as long as my doc gives me the all clear.

Love the food, I'll be several pounds heavier on my return ๐Ÿ˜ณ

And we've enjoyed Canada when we've visited.

I honestly think things will calm down soon enough, there just maybe a bit of pain in the short term ๐Ÿคž

Yep, hopefully it will play itself out for the majority. Some normalcy, regardless of party would be nice and beneficial for every normal person.

Italy will be great. Probably going during the summer myself. โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š

Enjoy your trip! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

More people disapprove of the president than congress. I can't remember the last time that happened...

People should always widen their horizon and travel the world. There is more to see than the hillbilly mountains of West Virginia.

If youโ€™re missing North America right now, just go to Canada, where they still abide by the rule of law, have decency and follow true American values that our country used to have, from an administrative point of view.โœŒ๏ธ

"Hillbilly mountains"....."only 400 years of history!"

Bet you felt real clever typing this.

Pretty sure WV isn't being hit too hard by the dip in international travel lol.

The sad part is, our hillbilly mountains still afford us a far better quality of life than 99.9% of Europe and their hundreds of years of history.

Hilarious how warped your perception of America is when your media is MSNBC on steroids. You actually think every day life is impacted at all by Trump lol.

Didnโ€™t know that the coal mines of West Virginia give you a better quality of life than 99% of the way people live in Europe. Itโ€™s good to know though. Iโ€™m sure most Americans are lining up to live in such a beautiful and prosperous state with an abundance of quality for everyone. It must be the richest state in the entire US from your knowledgeable perspective.

All good mate, go Birds!โœŒ๏ธ

Jesse Watters says โ€˜everyone knowsโ€™ that wearing a Chicag...

โ€˜If youโ€™re a Latin American illegal alien in Maryland, you donโ€™t accidentally wear Chicago Bulls gear and hang around with high-ranking gangsters from MS-13,โ€™ Jesse Watters declared on Tuesday night

Fox News star Jesse Watters backed the Trump administrationโ€™s claim that an illegally deported Maryland man is a dangerous terrorist, arguing on Tuesday night that Kilmar Abrego Garcia wearing a Chicago Bulls hat "means youโ€™re MS-13โ€ and you "hang around with high-ranking gangsters.โ€

the state of WV is actually a beautiful place, but then you meet the people.

Iโ€™ll probably hold off until you are safely in El Salvador.

Does this mean prices will drop for us Americans?

Keep your eye on the eggs. When they drop you might have a shot.

Thanks President Trump.

What's the average cost of a dozen eggs?

The average price of a dozen eggs in a US city hit $5.90 in February 2025; jumping by 19.2% in just one month, from $4.95 in January. The price of eggs is higher than ever before, with the previous peak at $4.82 in January 2023, and has nearly doubled since the same time last year.

i thought kz said that thanks to trump, stores are trying to give away their eggs.

"My state is such a backwoods hellscape for inbreds, we're not affected by a drop in tourism because you can't drop below zero. In your face, international travelers!"

That's a hell of a flex.

West Virginia is a state I've never visited so I can't really comment.

I can however tell you all we have a place like your description in England.

Yorkshire ๐Ÿ˜

(I'm a proud lancastrian so you'll never get me to agree with a Yorkie, even if he's right ๐Ÿ˜„)

West Virgina is a great state to visit if you like nature and outdoor activities. Lots to do and see.

However, it most certainly isnโ€™t a great place to live.

They do. WV produces about 6% of Americas energy and our GDP per capita is basically the same as Germany.

Iโ€™m a Lancastrian as well, just Lancaster, PA. We also have York across the river. We couldn't think of new names other than Bird-in-Hand, Paradise, and Intercourse.

Think the nearest we got was North Carolina.

So nowhere near really.

Just took a quick peek at the tourism website and as you say, if the great outdoors is your thing (and it is ours), then it looks a cool place to visit. ๐Ÿ‘

If you like hiking, rafting, fishing, mountains, etc youโ€™ll love it. The Appalachians are very underrated and the West Va sections are some of the best. Of course there are lots of depressed old mill/mine towns but you can work around the worst parts and the people are mostly nice and down to earth. On the other hand, it will be full on MAGA though with a gazillion rednecks, hicks, and lowlifes mixed in so youโ€™ll have to be ok with that aspect if you would actually consider a visit.
