You might want to look at what the difference between a city and a state is.

I know many see Trump as the biggest threat in losing our democracy. He is the face and leader of this authoritarian movement, but in reality, it’s the people in the background that are way more evil and worrisome than he is. All of his sycophantic disciples in this administration (Miller, Vance, Bondi, Noem, Hegseth etc.) will do anything to appease him, even if he doesn’t specifically call for it. They are the real danger that the US turns into authoritarianism. The playbook is eerily similar to what happened to Germany in the 1930’s and it’s crazy that some here apparently would be fine with a dictatorship, as long as that means they crushed the left, libs or RINOs.
