He can also change the landscape thru other means such as invading Venezuela. Don't get me wrong, the Repubs are on the back foot and in a bit of trouble but the game for next November is far from over. Beating him means staying tough, appealing to the moderate center, and not getting sidetracked and pulled further into the gutter.

Thank out of control spending, low rates and then tariffs -- each side keeps making things worse. High health insurance premiums -- that's because, like with higher education, the government subsidies unlimited demand while the supply of doctors is dropping. High home prices? Low rates, tax advantages for home ownership, and local regulations that make it financially impossible to build "affordable housing" (which is why every developer now basically agrees to do 10-20% affordable housing where they lose money in order to get entitlements). Want to fix these? Get the government out of the market. But that will never happen, because people want to be promised free puppies and rainbows.
