I’ve recently moved, and there is a VFW about 10 minutes from my place. Being a life member of the VFW, I’ve been taking advantage of their $2.50 drafts, and the fact that in any given hour at the place, one of two people will buy the bar a round. And every once in awhile, hit a ticket for a few hundred bucks.

Anyway, today, and older VN era marine who I’ve spoken too a few times brought up the fact was at the MNF game last night.he said he ever did pla-by-play for awhile and was pretty good at it. And then added that Trump played football in is younger years. I simple responded with, "but he couldn’t serve his country because of bone spurs? He had no reply and the subject was dropped.

How the F can a VN era Marine veteran tout the fact that this clown played football, yet ignore that he avoided serving in the same war he did, because of bone spurs? I had multi bone spurs in both knees and both shoulders when i volunteered to go to Iraq in 05-06 in my early forties. Not to mention I worked in the civilian world with them for the past 20-30 years. I don’t want a cookie for doing what I had to do to make a living, but can we stop idolizing the orange clown?

Give him a break. Maybe Trump playing football gave him bone spurs. At least this gentleman did his duty and tomorrow being Veterans Day let’s salute his service then his political stance.
