First they'll get really righteous about his death, shame everyone for celebrating (the celebration will be amazing though) and then they'll immediately start picking at the bones, grifting off his name as a martyr while they all try to fill the void themselves. They can't and won't throw him under the bus though, they'll pretend like he had a distinguished legacy that they have to carry on. Unfortunately for them, none of them (Vance least of all) have any charisma, so it'll all fall apart.I mean, I'm sure sheet will come out because as a group they just tend to leak a lot, but there's no switch that turns. They're too far down the rabbit hole now. They're gonna have to ride out National Socialism until it buries them electorally, which it definitely will without Trump. Maybe after a few cycles they'll learn, but the only thing that ever teaches Republicans anything is losing elections. A disturbing percentage of MAGA will, no matter the cause of death, believe he was secretly assassinated and will probably become violent over it.
