yup...I have been to several away games and a couple of home games. I had a really scary experience in Arizona at the NFCCG a few years back with outside fans arriving to fight Eagles fans all over the place. I have been to Oakland in their infamous "black hole" without any issues. The only place I will not wear colors is the Niners games in Santa Clara. The Niners fanbase has significantly changed from the wine sipping quiche eating folks. It has a hardcore group with many gang members mixed in. You may think you are smack talking a fan when they actually are a gang member dressed in Niners gear. They treat any sign of disrespect as an act against their gang...no thank you!

Got jumped in the bathroom at halftime of that NFCCG game in Arizona.  Came out to a uniformed cop standing outside.  Told him what happened.  He looked at my jersey and said "I'm on my f'n break."  And, yeah, getting out was sketch as hell.

After that experience, I decided it really isn't worth it going to away games.  And, to be honest, the Linc is the best stadium and experience so why go anywhere else.

I have been to games in San Diego and I’ve always been treated fine.  Never a single incident.

I really enjoy San Diego been there many times on projects with the Navy. I am currently working a project at NASNI and this is my first week home since the first week of the year. I have been to San Diego Padres games before, laid back atmosphere, and chill people. I was there a couple of months ago during the MLB playoffs, busy downtown, and clean.

I go to a lot of away games. Irony of ironies is that, in my experience, Dallas is the best place, outside of the Linc, to catch the Eagles. Texans are polite as hell.

Yeh screw him...I would have gotten a badge number and filed a formal complaint, do your freaking job. I am sure nothing would've happened to him but at least it's filed and on record. What if things had really taken a turn for the worst? He's on a break...guys like that give the uniform a bad name.

Caleb Rogers is a stud from the DFW area, he grew up competing against some of the best in the state/country (DeSoto, Duncanville, SOC) in HS. I would love to see him do well as a pro.

Lambeau is by far the best visiting experience I’ve ever been to. Their fans are incredible and welcomed us with open arms while we were in Eagles gear. Just great people there and a great experience. If you’re into traveling around for games, that has to be #1 on the away game list.

The Eagles scored 8 TD's and the most points ever in the NFC Championship, am I dreaming?

Obviously, there is no real comparison between these two but the numbers aren't that far out of whack.

I want to come to the Linc next year for the Cowboys game...and I want to sit with some of you guys. Can we make that happen?

Reach out to me when the schedule is announced.

I saw Huff get washed out of the only play i noticed he was in on.

I remember when I used to think NFL players were old men... now I think of them almost as kids... lol

Agree that Dallas is a great away game (I went to the old stadium; haven't been in the new one).

Also, terrible Vet era stadium down in San Diego before they came to LA, but the folks at the game could not have been nicer. Also, the parking in SD was so bad it was comical.  I parked over a mile away in a neighborhood (had already dropped off the fam) and just gave my keys and a hundy to a guy and parked in his drive.

Other fun trips were to NOLA and Bufalo in the cold (not an Eagles game).  But all my trips were in the '90s and early 2000s.

And Sofi out here in CA is amazing. Stupefying.  That's the only new stadium I have been to.

I did a nice little walk around your handle/namesake with the baby girl today!  We got sent down here for some testing…what a beautiful stadium.

With everything going on with the newborn, i haven’t really gotten to completely keep up…but it seems Brady is getting some flak for his commentary Sunday?  I honestly think he’s getting more and more palpable every week that goes by in the booth.  He seems to be more comfortable with commentating with the flow of the game, giving good insight when he can, doesn’t seem to be overly biased and doesn’t just talk to talk.   His joke about Foles i thought was pretty funny taking a shot at himself for dropping that ball in the SB.

I think he’s been pretty bad… He’s getting better and it’s his first year but honestly I don’t think he’s good. He doesn’t add any expert insight for the most part, he gets names wrong (I’m sure that aspect will get better over time) and I think he just calls a bad game.

On Sunday he called Barkley out for a "hold” that would have been harsh. Then on the next play a Washington player got away with a hold and he said "I like to see the officials let things go”.

I must have missed that.  I’ve got the hospital remote/speaker that i was listening through and I wasn’t exactly tuning into the commentary lol.  The bits and pieces i did catch and pay attention i thought weren’t too bad.

Most commentators these days are so bad that the bar isn’t all the high.  I miss year 1/2 Romo…now he’s just a drunk rambling fool.  Of the former players of his era, he’s not Witten or Olsen level bad.  Honestly I wish Talib would have been kept.  Talib was a little hard on the ears, but his breakdowns were absolutely spot on.  The game through a DB’s eyes is a bit more refreshing IMO than a QB or offensive player.

I don’t know what people are criticizing him for.  I certainly did not hear anything to complain about.  And I agree he is getting more comfortable in his role and smoother (less intrusive) as a result.  His observations Sunday were solid in my opinion,

Jake Elliott… kinda 😅

Sunday’s game was an eye opener in a lot of ways … most notably for possum hunters.   As a result Hurts arguably moved up a number of notches in the speculative QB rankings list I posted last week (quoted above for reference).  Ranking QBs shouldn’t be this dynamic/changeable, but Moore and Sirianni arguably may have been hiding the "real Hurts” from us.

With that said, here is a revised ranking … one that still has room for further movement.  Thoughts?

Washington - Daniels is arguably better
Dallas - Dak is not
Giants - ??? is not
Bucs - until yesterday Mayfield was arguably better, but Hurts’performance probably nudged him ahead of Mayfield
Falcons - Pennix is not
Saints - ??? is not
Panthers - Young is not
Lions - until the last two weeks Goff was arguably better, but Hurts’ is probably a smidgen ahead of Goff now
Vikings - Darnold is not
Packers - Love was a push with Hurts, but is arguably behind Hurts now
Bears - Williams is not
Rams - Stafford is better
Seahawks - like Love, Smith was a push with Hurts until yesterday, but is arguably behind Hurts now
Cardinals - Murray is not
Niners - Purdy is not

So in the NFC 2 QBs are better and 13 are not better.

Buffalo - Allen is better
Miami - Tua is in the same situation as Love and Geno, no longer a push with Hurts
Jets - Rodgers no longer is better
Pats - Maye probably is a push
Texans - Stroud arguably is also a push
Colts - Richardson definitely is not
Titans - ??? Is not
Jaguars - Lawrence arguably is not
Ravens - Jackson definitely is
Steelers - Wilson arguably is not
Bengals - Burrow definitely is
Browns - ??? Definitely is not
Chiefs - Mahomes definitely is
Chargers - Herbert is, but his inability to win in the Playoffs does open the door for an argument that he isn’t
Broncos - Nix comes down as a push for me
Raiders - ??? is not

So AFC has 5 that are arguably better, 3 are likely to be a push, and 8 that are not better

Grand Total 7 are better, 3 are a push, and 21 are not better

I thought about Jake, but wondered whether the poor snaps by Lovato were contributing factors that Jake should get a pass for.

Lovato was the name that sprung to my mind based on @FranklinFldEBUpper’s most recent Special Teams Blog entry (admittedly from the Rams game).

Joe it sounds like you and @Wentz_Era are Navy guys.  You may have stories to swap and possibly future beers to raise together.
