Newest Eagles fan came this morning at 4am…I’m tired AF.  I’ll make sure to post some photos this weekend of her in her baby Eagles gear!  Despite my sleep deprived wishes, she is not named Saquon and

Good for Tysom hill he’s fumbled, thrown a pick and scored a TD in this game.

That's an interesting hat trick.

I'll be honest that I wish we did have the prototypical 6'6 pocket passer

Are there any in the league other than Flacco?

The league has moved away from prototypical pocket passers.  And I would argue that they have done it with poor results.

Mahomes stands above the rest and is an anomaly.  Even he has inconsistencies in his play, specifically last and this regular season…but still, his overall accomplishments will rival Brady when he’s done.

The rest of them?  I don’t think it’s working out.  For any of them.  Allen is too inconsistent.  I’d say Jackson is too inconsistent, but he’s consistently bad in the playoffs.

Burrow is the closest to prototypical.  And they may not be 6’6” and you might love them or hate them, but Purdy and Goff are in that category.  And they happen to be winning a lot of games.  All 3 of them are pure passers.

ALL of the hybrid QBs are far more up and down (and consequently, their teams) than the HOF pocket passers of the 2000’s.

Belichik whiffed hard on Mac Jones after he crushed it at Alabama and I feel like the SEC, the first round, and NFL franchises haven’t prioritized pocket passing ever since.

I’m not into FF but I do watch certain players and root for them when they aren’t playing us

I was criticizing the guy that sent you that message. He’s a Hurts hugger even when he is terrible.  I agree with you - The thought of someone who could sling it and go through progressions like Herbert is definitely an interesting thing to think about with all the weapons in this offense.

Back to back weeks in the nfl. Hurts did it the previous week in Dallas.

What’s going on with the kickers?

Good to know there’s nothing wrong with Jake Elliott and there’s just a kicker disease going around the NFL

Don’t know what Wilson is doing on that play. With two timeouts dump it to Warren and get the first down. Didn’t look like anyone was close to Warren.

Doug is going to be fired and left in Detroit

Sad to see him go out like this but it’s of his own making

Probably has something to do with it being the most difficult position to play in sports so makes sense are only 2 to 4 that are elite.

Allen and Lamar are elite

Press is trash and will be a quality control cosch for Toledo next year

NFL officiating is not only awful, it actually gets worse each year.

Even with more technology.

Seems impossible unless it’s somehow intentional.

Packers need to get through to love about his ints. If they can get him to cut them down, he makes some awesome throws and they can consistently move the ball. Just seems all their issues offensively happen when he makes a bad decision

Doug should just become a media guy in Philly. Comcast would probably pay him to do it and he is still loved by eagles fans.

No one wants to play the Patriots right now.  They are the most dangerous team in the league currently.

Got hyperbole?

They are in this nfl.  I’d argue they wouldn’t have been in 2006.

I'm grateful that Vic Fangio won't zero blitz Stafford next week.

excited to see how the eagles secondary does against the rams. best group of WRs we’ve faced since Tampa.

All of those acquisitions and Jets still suck

I didn’t even know Allen Robinson was on the lions lol

Hurts isn’t a CEO, politician or Hollywood star. He’s a guy that talks to the media 3 times a week and has been doing it for 5 years. And what he actually says has far less meaning and importance than any of those other things you mentioned. I’m not expecting anything, he has every right to be private or address the general fan base the way he wants to. But then he’ll just be unlikable like most CEO’s, politicians and Hollywood Stars.

You and I will have to agree to disagree.  He, more than any other player, is the front man for the team.  Micah parsons was a "regular guy" last week, and what did that get him ... public excoriation.  Hurts on the field is the CEO of the Offense, and arguably the team.  What he says is paid attention to a hell of a lot more than  most politicians are paid attention to.  All you have to do is look at the NFL MVPs over the past two decades and you know that the vast majority of those "Best Actor Oscars" are won by QBs.

What I say above isn't "right" but it is my opinion.

The variance is crazy. I still maintain Hurts is anywhere between the 7th and 13th best QB and that can vary on any given week. Sometimes, you get him vs. the Bengals where he played like a top 3 guy. Sometimes you get him vs. Washington in the first half where it's below average.

Hurts' AAV is 9th in the NFL. He's paid to be in that range.

He stinks in the sense that if he was just above average, we would be unstoppable on offense on nearly every drive.

See RLC's comment above.  You are putting too much emphasis on being an "atic" rather than just a fan.
