Jim Brown, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, Adrian Peterson, Marshall Faulk.

To be fair, I do have both Dickerson and Simpson in the top 10.

Good list.  I would replace Dickerson with Campbell, but there is plenty of room for personal preference in any answer given.

Bring back Steichen.

You know the Eagles are going to the SB now so they can steal a coach again

So Shipley was a LP with his concussion but Hurts was a NP. Wonder if Eagles are playing games at this point

Wow. I knew Goedert was a much better blocker than Calcaterra, but...wow.

Kind of hollow if you don’t consider the difference between Stoll and Uzomah.

I was missing Sanders, but how can you not have Jim Brown and/or Earl Campbell.

I did not include them because I did not see them play. Should have noted my criteria.

Jalen would have to be reporting symptoms with activity at this point.  It's possible he's playing along with them.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he has a secondary injury that are keeping quiet…maybe from the same play.  He landed hard on his shoulder too.  To be cleared from protocol, the team clears him first, then it has to be also cleared by the independent.  I suppose it is possible Eagles just aren’t clearing him from the concussion to give him more time to heal other things.

Not saying this is the case, but it would be more concerning if his concussion was that bad

Only 2 PS, I figure Chuck Harris and Gabe Hall for the DL rotation. Not sure where that leaves the team at RB (is Shipley still down?) or WR (usually we run with 4+, so running thin w/o Campbell elevated).

Jordan Davis probably should play given the limited number of snaps he takes each game.

I think fans and even the media do not appreciate the wiggle room that NFL teams have with injuries.  There are protocols with independent evaluators to prevent players and teams from putting themselves at risk.  There are penalties for faking injuries for IR red shirt years or injury report mind games.

BUT...this stuff is not black and white.  If the Eagles don't want Hurts to play in the game, it's not hard to say that he's out with a concussion even though he would have played in a playoff game.  Not saying it's not a problem and that he isn't having symptoms...just saying that he could also be completely fine and they could easily fudge it for convenience too.

Do we need a back up Center?

More like back up waterboy.  He's toast.

Makes a complete mockery of the whole thing to be honest!

It's always been that way.  What makes it a real mockery is when alternate #7 goes for a position because the first 5 guys all bowed out... and they count the guy who was an alternate as a 'Pro Bowler', only because so many guys opted not to participate.  (Frankly, I think a lot of it is due to the CBA and players trying to do what they can for each other, especially when bonuses can be linked to Pro Bowl selections.)

I guess one feature of the back-up bowl is that we get see both Ringo and Rodgers for extended snaps. Does the Slay contract indicate that he’ll be here next year or no?

Someone earlier argued that Riggs should start in place of Rodgers.  That is an interesting take.

Among Ringo Rodgers and Riggs, who would you play inside?

Would be nice if Shipley could play.  If he can't go, they will have to elevate a RB.  If they have to elevate a RB and do not elevate 2 DL, then DL who play meaningful snaps on regular Sundays will have have to play snaps against the Giants.

And the danger there...yea, yea, yea, I'm scared, whatever...considering we are mailing it in with scrubs, the Giants figure to win time of possession with some long drives.  That's how defensive players get hurt.  So I'd rather not see valuable DL sucking wind out there as our defense gets pushed around.

I'm excited to see all the young CBs, including Eli Ricks. I still think he brings value in some capacity.

They didn't even practice. It was an "estimation" because it was a walk through. That's the game being played.

Maddox. I'd play Ringo and Ricks outside, Maddox in the slot. Rodgers is our dime now and also fills in when Slay gets dinged, which happens often. I'd keep Rodgers off the field unless someone gets hurt.

Disagree. Holding the record is immortal. Jim Brown is immortal. OJ, while shunned for off field activities is immortal for his on field prowess. Dickerson will continue to be even after someone breaks his record.

Thinking of a line from "Invincible", when Papale's friend is telling him why he has to tryout  ... (paraphrasing) "it's hallowed ground. Even if you're only down there for an hour, you're down there!"

I remember where I was when the Phillies won the world series and the Eagles won the SB.  It was a life moment for fans.  If that is a fan life moment 10...and winning a championship game is a 7...and a big amazing regular season (NFL/eagles) win is a 3....

Seeing Barkley break the single season rushing record over 17 games...that would be a 2 for me.

You can't argue with it...I'm right.  I'm right because that's what it would mean to me.  What would it mean to you?

What convince? If they want to rest him and practice they could. Maybe I'm wrong but that seems like a lit of trouble for nothing. He probably is having issues after getting his second in a month and a half. DC seems to have given him two.

Also forgot to add Jordan Davis is eligible for a new deal. And while I know opinions vary on him, I’m keen on him getting an extension too depending on the price. Nakobe Dean as well. So many mouths to feed, gotta make decisions.

For Howie the Davis situation is an opportunity.  Davis’ fifth year option is a bigger number than Davis’ value.  Extending him makes that fifth year more palatable and gives some of Laurie’s cash that Howie spreads across multiple Cap years.
