None. He’s clearly not playing this weekend so why take away reps from McKee and Book who will play? Brown, Smith and Barkley aren’t practicing at all either, for a reason. I’d bet he puts in a limited practice tomorrow and will be full all next week.

I’ll be honest I don’t know how these things work bud. Like given the protocol is carried out by experts outside of the organisation do we still dictate the time scales? I.e. knowing he’s not playing this week can we just hold him out and not put him through the protocol steps?

What about the bit where he ****ed endlessly in New York because he didn't want to play RT?

Times change.  He's now playing RG.  You think he'd have done that willingly for the Jets?

Context is key.

OK you want context how about him not being great on passing downs in Philly, you want to replace one of the best RT's in the League with a guy who struggles in pass protection? And that was a concern on him coming out of college, he's always been a great run blocker and average against pass rush.

He's barely better than Steen at pass protection now having taken first team reps with Stoutland all season.

Outside of a few penalties early in year, I must say I'm very proud of Cam.  Losing Jason was monumental.  Cam really learned under Jason and is now a Pro-Bowler after his 1st full season starting in the position.  Jalen seems really comfortable working with him in the role this year.

He didn’t miss a beat replacing Kelce. Props to him and Stoutland.

Dallas will be picking in the top 15, possibly top 10.

I’m probably alone in this, but I don’t see him as that level of RB. He has decent size, good but not great speed. Excellent balance, yes. Not very elusive. Not dynamic as a receiver.

I wouldn’t take him in the top half of the first round, personally. In the 20’s? Absolutely.

To me he is a Melvin Gordon type player.  Nice productive NFL player but not worth a top 20 pick.

Neurologist: Hello Jalen. Nice to meet you. I am the neurologist in charge of your case, Dr DeLuca.

Hurts: Be you. Thats always enough.™

Neurologist: Uh. Thanks. How are you feeling today?

Hurts: Hurts so good.™

Neurologist: Ok. Well, thats not the news we were hoping for. But lets do an exam and see how things have been progressing.

Hurts: I get 1% better every day.

Neurologist: Improvement is good. But based on my review of your case, and your presentation today, we still arent there yet. You are not fully recovered, and I cant clear you just yet.

Hurts: I had a purpose before anyone had an opinion.™

Neurologist: Thats good to hear Jalen. But my medical opinion is what counts here. I will communicate this to your medical staff.

Hurts: So I can play?

Neurologist: No.

Hurts: Rents due.

Neurologist: Have a good day. Ill see you again next week.

Hurts: Keep the main thing the main thing.

Pure gold!  Was too late for me to get this creative hahah.

Now you are making an argument that has some validity.  I'll add that pass pro outside is different from inside and we frankly haven't seen him outside with Stoutland to work on his technique.

But, here's the reality that no one wants to talk about... regardless of who it is moving forward at RT, its extremely unlikely that they will have someone at the level of Johnson.  The transition from Kelce to Jurgens has been an unexpected success, at least in terms of the degree of the success.  Its unlikely they'd be able to replicate that at RT as cleanly.

He had two major injuries to his right knee, both of which involved dislocation of the right kneecap and ligament damage. He lost 2022 completely and basically played all of 2023 on one leg. The Jets (ah, the Jets) and Robert Saleh claimed he was a malingerer because they had to blame someone other than themselves. At RT he would have to plant and drive off the right knee, the damaged one that was not yet fully healed. It is now.

And finally, remember: it's the Jets.

youtube and Im sure all of the other eagles social media pages had interviews with the pro bowl players, as well as Mailata.

Its really something to see other players around the league complain about their snubs, and then listen to Mailata talk. Im sure he is a little bit disappointed, but he doesnt let it on at all and hes pretty believable. I do believe for the most part that this isnt affecting him at all.  Good listen to hear his attitude about what motivates him.

Funny part- Baun said he laughed when he was signing here and read the pro bowl clause in his contract because it wasnt something he imagined happening this season.

B'hecktons presents a unique opportunity for the Eagles. We have clearly seen him rebuild a new foundation for his career this year, and he also recognizes the impact Stout and the rest of the locker room has on him. He was miserable with the jets, and can you really blame him for that? He has versatility, proven he can play at a high level, played the whole season, etc.

I don't think he's going to demand top dollar. I think him playing with this locker room reignited his love for the game.

Yea, I believe it’s only the final clearance that is done outside the organization by an independent doctor. Everything else leading up to that is handled by team.

I would dispute he played well at LT even when healthy. But i concede his ability to play RG shows he can play execute on the right side. But i dont think he has shown the kind of speed and agility needed for tackle

Would be really really awesome. I'd tip my cap to Howie because he has turned a blind eye to the position for quite sometime which imo has hurt the defense and the team on the whole. To have a change of mindset and acknowledge that the position is important by paying 10 plus mil per year to Baum proves his change of mindset and should keep our defense as one of the best in the league. Major kudos would have to be given to Howie for this.

I’m not really a fan of him but I think he’s safe. Would prefer we had a HC that was a great play caller since we’ll likely lose our OC again. Don’t see how Nick could get fired unless something extremely drastic happened

He shouldn't be, this team should do no worse than the NFCCG. If they lose in the wild card round sirianni should he canned. If you want regular season success you can look at the steelers. They've been "successful" in that they've made the playoffs a bunch, when was the last time they were an actual contender?

I want a super bowl, not a bunch of playoff appearances that end after 1 game

That Mailata mic'd up when he's trash talking Parsons. I hope he stays in Dallas forever and suffers. He's gonna need therapy this offseason.

Would love to add Micah to the defense but he will cost a lot and I don't see us having the cap to realistically make it happen without sacrificing other positions too much. If it could be done however, man would our defense really reach yet another level.

I hope so but also wouldnt blame any player trying to get top dollar when they can. I imagine his rookie deal was pretty substantial

I really really hope Jalyx learns any pass-rush move this off-season, but his athleticism/energy is infectious. He's basically a bigger Nolan Smith.

That seems odd. Howie said in the 2022 SB run he didn't want to hand out extensions incase it threw off team vibes. Why would they want it this done before the end of the regular season? There is no advantage.

Sometimes they're are extensions for one guy and not another.  Like of you'd pay Slay and not bradberry. That's bad for morale.

Something like a baun deal is 100% positive for everyone.  Morale booster

Speed? 5.1 40 @ 363 pounds. Fast as Lane? Not even close but then, nobody else is either. A hair faster than Mailata, fwiw.

You know what I’m reminded of? When we got Peters from Buffalo. There were many on here who moaned about how many sacks he gave up there, that he was a malingerer, a locker room cancer. Turned out he was one of the best OL who ever played.

Will Becton be that good? Highly highly unlikely. Still, he has enormous talent and I seriously doubt we can draft a tackle as good in the foreseeable future.

I think it’s purely a question of money, of what we can afford and what he’ll accept.
