Money and the dead cap from Kelce, Cox, Graham and Bradberry plays a huge part.  That said, he has to have heard from the "barn” crew ((lifting at Lane’s) about the value of an offseason here.  Imagine what Becton’s real athleticism would be if he spent the offseason working in the barn with Lane and came back at around 340.  Both he and Davis could thrive if they became regulars at the barn and add a little nutrition monitoring and focused weight training to the offseason.  There is a real sport science to maintaining the level of weight for NFL OL and DTs and changing how that weight is distributed.  The barn crew seem to excel at that.  I also think it helps with camaraderie along the line.

Was watching an Aaron Donald interview.   They showed some shirtless flexing video.  He was cut and just looked so powerful, which of course he was.  Would love to see Jalen Cater go down that same path.

The font makes the "D" and the "O" look almost indistinguishable.  I think that's by design.

Even the Q blends in if you are just quickly scanning

It’s been awhile since the blog had some shirtless selfies

Ron Rivera or Rex Ryan

Really curious to see if the Colts fire Shane Steichen. You know Nick would bring him back in a heartbeat.

What the freak

A shout out to the fans that enthusiastically misspell names.

Quite honestly not sure Fangio saw MLB on tape either. Because had he seen that, then Howie would have been clued in when he was meeting and signing Baun. Seemed like something Fangio figured out once Baun was on the field in an eagles uniform.

A "The Athletic” article on Baun early in the season (a couple of games after the Bye) talked about Fangio’s tape review and Baun’s immediate placement at ILB rather than at OLB at the beginning of the offseason workouts.  Unless Baun was being misquoted Fangio had already pored over the tapes.

i could be wrong, and the story could be wrong, but I have trust in both Fangio’s diligence and perception.

Then neither valued him much by offering the league minimum

Is $3.5 million the league minimum for a 5th year player?

Spotrac reports the Baun signing as "Zack Baun signed a 1 year , $3,500,000 contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, including $2,375,000 signing bonus, $3,500,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $3,500,000. In 2024, Baun will earn a base salary of $1,125,000, a signing bonus of $2,375,000 and a incentive bonus of $500,000, while carrying a cap hit of $1,600,000 and a dead cap value of $3,500,000.

The NFL minimum for a 5th year player is $1,125,000 with no signing bonus or other bonuses

How would you see Moore and Steichen working together?

Maybe steichen gets the passing game coordinator and just learns how to use motion and what Jalen likes from kellens offense

Jalen said that Vic has reviewed Donald tapes with him in the past. Definitely like that idea to show the young guy greatness from other players and how to improve and possibly integrate some of their tendencies into his own game.

That seems like too many cooks in the kitchen to me. Moore and Steichen are both higher level coordinators and Siri still likes to stick his hands in the cookie jar. A little overkill for my liking.

He is better or was better at calling plays than Moore

4D chess, fire sirianni, make Moore the HC and steichen the OC

I would fire Moore for Steichen in a heartbeat he's a way more impressive offensive mind. I have not been all that impressed by Moore this season tbh. Eagles offensive DVOA in 2022 was like 3 or 4 and this year it's like 14.

I would wish Kellen good luck.

yeah that W belong to Vic not Howie

Now we just need for Howie to pay the guy. Also let's listen to Vic more this off-season with players and their fits in his defense. Howie's guy in Huff turned out to be a colossal fail.

Lol so people really think saquon is playing Sunday? And some really think Hurts won’t be ready for the playoffs?

Phase 3 of the concussion protocol is limited practice. He's not in practice at all. So he must be in phase 2. Whether that's because they're holding him out since he's not playing or he simply hasn't progressed that far is another story

Jalen out. Ton of guys doubtful, including Saquon, AJ, Lane, Smitty, Dickerson, Mailata, etc.

The Limited practice players without a designation are definitely dressing.  The ones with Out (Jalen) won’t dress.  Some of the Ds will be inactive but most will dress.  The Limited without are going to be backup players as will the D ones that dress.   My guess is the reason that Shipley is a questionable is that step 5 signoff was pending following Friday practice.  Would not be surprised to see his status change.  I think Pickett is the emergency QB.  Basically a semi inactive.  I think who they elevate depends a bit on where there is the less depth after considering the active players.  I still lean towards Davis-Price and Gray. My guess is that to quell any speculation, Barkley is an inactive making RB a bit light given Shipley only had one full practice, hence Davis-Price.  With Brown and Devonta nursing some minor injuries, I think they go four wideouts.  Parris is out of elevations and Gray has had a lot of praise for his work with the scout team.

How many times has Hurts been under center this season? Excluding the sneak play

I’ve heard some reporters say players can progress to Phase 4 without actual practice. It just typically happens with the way the NFL practice week is set up.

Figures the league wouldn't go through their own safety procedure correctly
