Gardner-Johnson isnt really a good safety. Its not a high bar. Gardner-Johnson started the season very poorly and there was even a game where McCollum came in in relief and made a bunch of solid plays just by being in the right position (which Johnson wasnt doing). McCollum is clearly backup material. But hes not as bad as people think. Opinions changed abruptly on him after he gave up his 1st TD after he had that other solid game. People are fickle in here. And youre not smart.
