Is everyone just content next year leaving DeJean as NCB? It was a pretty steep price to pay for a NCB but it's also likely his best spot on the field. I'm curious if they ever try him on the outside at all in the offseason. I'm still not convinced he can at the NFL level and be a high end player.

Yup

bc in that role he is a quasi safety and lb at the same time. He is extremely difficult to create a mismatch on

Do people forget how bad Doug‘s offenses were after Reich left?

Wentz was trash and they didn't have good skill positions.

He played nearly 70% of the snaps this year and that's without playing in 4 games. NCB is basically a starting position and clearly he can make a huge impact there. Trading two 2nd round picks for him (one which turned in to Mike Sainristil, who is already a very good CB2 for the Skins) for him to just be a slot CB does seem steep.

I think its a mistake to view him as a typical slot cb

Yes, but there's often a reason why people do that. 2 pts is a big jump.

Depends entirely on where the line started. A jump from -0.5 to -2.5 is an insignificant shift when compared to a shift from -2.5 to -4.5, which would be considered massive.

I still think he's a better fit at S in the long-term.

I agree.  He essentially allows them to run their nickel package as a base defense.  He has the athletic ability to cover.  He tackles and plays well against the run.

He can likely do everything CJGJ does

I think his closest comparison may be Malcolm Jenkins.

It's official, Talcum Jenkins has been reassigned from Blankenship.

It’s been all over the place. Opened at -3.5, jumped to -5.5 but now I see it at -4.5

That would be hilarious.  RTK would spontaneously combust the moment it happened.

Won’t matter.  When the tape came out after Steichen’s season with Hurts, it’s an OC’s death wish if he’s attached at QB1’s hip.

If fangio wants to play the safties deep, inwould say he can do more damage from the nickel spot. Stop the run, cover rbs (Henry says hi). And blitz

Yes, as proven by Kellen Moore getting interviews for HC.

Each book has a slightly different opener and adjusted vig too but eventually they should all settle pretty close to each other with the amount of action an NFL playoff game would see. What would be especially odd for a playoff game is if we saw inverse line movement across two key numbers (a shift in a direction opposing a large majority of public action.) It has happened on occasion, but it's fairly rare.

Big Pee Pee McKee!

Our next HC if we get bounced round 1 and move on from Sirianni?

And yet the Bills are -8.5 against DEN.

I expect if Hurts clears concussion protocol by Thursday the line will move closer to -6.5 on the Eagles
