Whatever happened to that guy who kept talking about Devonta Smith playing Defensive tackle and Cooper Dejean being a kicker and would constantly bring up people’s RAS scores as a rebuttal to everything? That dude just suddenly disappeared one day

I took care of him!

which is funny because that's the only one they lost...

Guessing since so many in here are discussing the offseason moves the Eagles should make, that they must feel, the Eagles will do poorly in the playoffs.

Lot of limited practice on the Packers injury report, granted it was a Wednesday practice.  They are a lot more banged up than the first game.  Eagles are somewhat (no BG, Covey and BVS) but that’s kind of minor in comparison and Brown and Coop weren’t available the first game.  Arguably, the Eagles are healthier.  Questions about Hurts being rusty are a concern but the cobwebs are probably gone and unlike Love and Willis suffered injury to their throwing hand/arm last week whereas Jalen broke a finger on his none throwing hand five weeks ago. Five weeks is probably long enough for his finger to have mostly healed.  Sure Pickett has the ribs but I am not sure Pickett is better than McKee. I expect a lot of runs from the Packers. We will miss Graham on the edge but overall, I think the Eagles can control the run enough to prevail. The Pack has played the run a tad better than the Eagles and have the next best overall defense of the teams in the playoffs to the Eagles #1 D.  It will likely be a physical game.

I'd argue the exact opposite. I don't think anyone is taking the game all that seriously and assuming the Eagles will just steamroll through the Packers.

Agreed. I don't like feeling too comfortable but I am. It's Eagles game to lose IMO

For anyone that thinks the 2005 yard rushing achievement (or any other record for Barkley) was only for Barkley…read this….

"Saquon Barkley and the Eagles offensive line have a group chat together. Saquon has the offensive line recommend runs they like on the group chat and Saquon takes that to the coaches. They are truly connected. “

"He always asks us, ‘What are you thinking?’ He asks us almost every week, what are your favorite runs this week?
We have a group chat, just the five of us and him. And we just go through our favorite runs, and I guess he voices it to his coach, his running back coach or Kellen (Moore), and those plays are put in the game. You know I think that's the first time that’s ever happened for us. It's a pretty special relationship to have with a running back who's always keen to know what we like.”

I'd think $10M is the floor if he stays with the Eagles and gives a bit of a discount. If he hits the open market I'd think it would be closer to $12M.

It will be interesting to see what happens. Baun has said multiple times he likes being here and wants to be here. At the same time, he's been in the league for 5 years now and has a career earnings of $9M. At just turning 28 two weeks ago, this is going to be his one opportune chance to make money and get his premium contract. If I had to lean I'd say he sticks around here, but we'll see.

Gut says Baun comes back if the Eagles give him a market level offer. Just don't think he'd want to chance winding up somewhere he's a bad fit.

To the contrary, I think the Eagles are the best team in the NFC and it would take injuries and/or terrible game scripts for them to lose.

I just don't find this Packers matchup interesting at all.

Stress ball.  Probably doesn’t want to disclose the gummies.

Whole-heartedly agree.

Worth adding about injury: a QB is much more likely to be injured in the pocket than out of it. There have been any number of statistical breakdowns documenting this. When a QB runs he can protect himself by getting down, which he can't do in the pocket. There, he has to stand in and take the hit.

Here's an interesting stat: while Hurts gets sacked more than a lot of QBs, he gets knocked down less often, less often, in fact, than getting sacked. https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/advanced-stats-qb.php Highly unusual.

To return to HE's excellent point: Hurts is a very good player because of what he does. It's a waste of time to criticize him for what he doesn't do. He fits the offense. We beat teams up; we wear them down; we control the clock; we protect our defense by keeping the ball - almost five minutes more per game than our opponents. Those things are not much highlighted but it explains at least in part why Jalen Carter plays such a high percentage of snaps - it's because the defense as a whole plays fewer snaps than any other team (except, maybe, the Chargers).

I still want to criticize him for what he doesn't do though.  It bothers me too much.

Hoping the Eagles aren’t as overconfident.  Need to take the Pack run D seriously.

It’s a shame he didn’t play here his entire career and wasted those years with the Giants. He wound have gone down as an all time Eagle great. But if they win it all this year I still think he should go down as one.

If you want to know why I always trash Daniels, aside from him being vastly overrated, it's for crap like this. When I talk about propaganda this is exactly what I'm talking about. Even for the dumb people out there who think he's good, if you're putting him in the tier 1 of elite QBs with Mahomes, Jackson, and Allen, you aren't even trying to be remotely objective. You're just pushing BS hype propaganda.

The media is the worst it has ever been. Even putting clickbait nonsense aside, all the media does now is push propaganda for big market teams and whatever coaches, players, and GMs they owe favors to in exchange for information access.

It's so Fing bad. So many people sold their souls to push absolute BS all the time. At least he's not a Cowboy. If he was, all the media would have him in a tier 0 all to his own.
