The only All Pro team that matters is the NFLPA Players’ All Pro team, everything else is just popularity contests or influenced by factors that are not performance based.

I’ve found a good judge is if announcers start referring to players as "the future hall of famer” in broadcasts, and they’ve been doing that with LJ.

He’ll get slighted on the first ballot, just like he gets slighted in all-pro voting, but he’s a lock to make the HOF.

It will be interesting to see…Lawrence Taylor & Michael Irvin both admitting to using crack to get a competitive advantage.   Favre admitted to all sorts of drug related stuff to play as well as the d pic incident.  I’m pretty sure prior to getting voted in Megatron said he had to smoke weed just to not be in too much pain to play.  You have murderers, team cancers, guys who averaged under 4 YPC for a career in there.

Yes, in its 3rd year of existence it’s the only thing that matters.  Might as well use the player voted top 100’s in there as well.

I agree, I think the NFL gets a bit more of a pass than MLB, and it seems logical to me. I think at some point more players in the NFL were using PEDs than not, 70's through late 80's anyway. I think he's in either way, maybe a first ballot HOFer without the PEDs, but still a HOFer. and possibly still be a first ballot HOFer.

At least the NFLPA Players' All Pro team is not biased by home team's writers, and anyone else who gives their vote based popularity or on when they saw a game/player. The players vote based on who they have competed against and have a better judge of talent and performance on the field than most of those voting in all these other "All Pro" teams "elections". I would rather be judged by my peers than by someone who has never done the job, and I value the player's opinion more than that of a non-participant.

All Pro is starting to look like a popularity contest as well. Either that or there are some strange sites they’re saying for stats

I would like to believe there is integrity among co-workers and they would be more trusted in my mind to pick the best player/co-worker...I guess I am a bit naive on this...I do know too many writers get a vote and they do not watch all the players/games and can't possibly vote without a bias based on media coverage. IDK, it's just an opinion.
