We can end this debate right now.   CBS Sports picked this up and said that PFF did have a higher grade on Sewell for some things...

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/eagles-rt-lane-johnson-posts-stat-comparison-of-himself-lions-penei-sewell-after-second-team-all-pro-nod/

And when PFF speaks, we all have to shut up and listen.  They have a website that you have to pay for... so they know what they are talking about.  Clearly they are the final voice in this discussion.  They gave Sewell the edge in 2 out of 3 categories.  Case closed.

I don't have a favorite but when I look at stats it's usually pro football reference

Why we will win it all.

Defense before the bye (or before DeJean)...

Yup. This defense has proven it can hang with anyone, they just need to get help from the offense instead of being out there for 13 drives

I would ignore everything that happened Week 1 when it comes to tomorrow. Both teams had brand new DC’s and still learning the basics. The field was such crap that Love’s backfoot was sliding almost every time he got set to throw as well as seemingly every Eagle player starting the game with the wrong cleats. I think it will be closer and lower scoring than most people think but Eagles are clear favorites. It will likely be Eagles playing down to their competition and losing on the final drive if they don’t win.

Avonte Maddox was terrible in that game too. Bryce Huff was a zero as well.

We should win, but it's football and you sometimes get bad bounces.

The Packers also beat the Eagles in the regular season that season.

The Packers went on to win Super Bowl XLV.

Fair enough, although the picture doesn't match the play. You can do better.

It wouldn’t shock me.

The eagles have a long history under Laurie of giving players second chances, be it Michael Vick or Riley Cooper. He’d still be young and we’d have some pull to sign him with Smith, a stable organization, a track record of turning player’s careers around, etc.

The biggest hindrance will be the offense. If we are still consistently throwing for under 200 yards per game, he won’t come because there just won’t be the opportunity to earn a big contract.

I could see Ruggs seeing the Eagles as a perfect place for a one-year contract to show the league that he can be a real human being.  Then a second one-year contract at the highest bidder as a prove it production step. Then a decent multi-year contract commensurate with the results of the first two one-year contracts.

And taking pain killers and opioids.  As well as D pics.

Favre is underrated if anything

At first I thought I don’t want another drag racer on the team with JC, but then I thought it might be OK because Ruggs is certainly the cautionary tale (living at least, RIP Jerome).

Any video of it is blocked from display here. Hit watch on YouTube.

I picked that play, not because it's "one of the greatest plays" in Packers history, but because it's a more legendary play than 4th and 26, because the Packers went on to win the Super Bowl.

If Henry Ruggs is John Doe, does he get the same sentence for the crime committed?

Hard to believe he will be eligible for parole in a year.

I’m not doing that if I’m the eagles. It’s going to take a year for him to get back into pro football level fitness and there’s no upside for the risk.

Like Vick, it’s a 1+1 option or nothing. I’m not paying a guy to get in shape only for someone else to benefit.

This reminds me of how the Eagles are going to beat the Packers twice this season. I'm not sure if a team has ever lost to the same opponent twice in one season in two different hemipsheres but the Packers will have that distinction

Doesn't Howie almost always go 1+1?  Guess we will see soon with Cine's contract because I bet he goes 1+1 on that.

Love that you are guaranteeing a Eagles win. How many times does that come back to bite someone?

Again , I prefer to let the game be decided on the grass, and not with lame guarantees by keyboard warriors.

Dude...just go play in traffic already.  And if you're as annoying to your supposedly younger wife as you are to us, I can only assume she not only is fat, but blind and deaf too.

I would assume they try to.

But we can see this year with both Becton and Baun that we have a reclamation project and a journeyman who didn’t get option years.

Sometimes players won’t agree to it. Thats fine, but I’m not wasting a roster spot for one year on a vet who comes with major PR baggage and who can’t be expected to contribute immediately.

Go choke on some cheese. None of that crap is going to help you tomorrow.

The best cheese is from Italy, not Wisconsin. Sirianni is Italian. You take your cheddar and we'll take Sirianni and the Pecorino Romano.

With Cine he’ll probably just get a one year deal because then he will be an ERFA which is basically the same as an option year for league minimum
