If the bar was winning one playoff game then sure, we could celebrate mediocrity. When the expectation of a team this talented is to win a super bowl, it's not exactly a good thing thay they struggled so badly on offense.

You could say the flip side is that it's highly unlikely hurts plays THIS poorly again, but we need him to play actually well, not "not awful"

Yeah but we haven't lost out on the SB yet. We won. That should be a happy thing. Hurts was off 3 weeks not playing. Didn't turn the ball over and tossed two TDs. Not great but completely expected with the rust. I still see us making it at least to NFCCG

This is why hurts deserves blame. He did not play well. He has to play better going forward. Cause we are not winning if he’s playing like this. But also I thought Moore did not do a great job either. I feel like both deserve criticism.

We witnessed history today. Jalen Hurts had his first career pass from under center that didn’t come from play action or boot action.

I think the defense has an extra edge to play with.   I just don't like the matchup with the QB and their HC.  That would be a game where we would need the running game to show up big time.   We can't judge much from this year's matchup given how beat up the offense was that week... but it just is matchup I don't covet.  But, with some weather... some really cold weather... I could feel better.

Tbh I’m not thrilled going against Flores and Vikings defense simply cause he’ll bring blitzes and we didn’t exactly handle those great today. I’d prefer the rams of all 3

Well seeing as I'm 40 years old and my first football game was in the 700 section watching Cunningham, no. You do realize there are teams that have gone decades without winning a playoff game. They would kill for just one. Meanwhile we **** and moan because our win wasn't pretty enough. 🤦 Newsflash GB had a top ten offense and defense this year. We didn't play the Giants.

I swear this place gets more negative every year

We aren’t one of those teams that go decades without winning a playoff game. That’s more rare than us winning one.. if you want moral victories after an underwhelming performance, go visit the lions boards.. no reason why folks can’t be upset about the qb who has been consistently terrible with all world players around him.

Bash me for saying this after a playoff win, but the Eagles do have a fundamental ticking time bomb in their construction.

It's only seeing part of the picture to say the Eagles are built around the running game.  That's not the entire reality.  The reality is that the Eagles pure passing game is low volume, inconsistent, not dangerous, not respected by opposing offenses and requires a quad of 4 elite weapons just to get to that status...and they compensate for that reality with a QB who runs really well, an unstoppable 1 yard play, and...above all else...a team that has overwhelming talent advantages over the competition, literally stacked with high end talent at nearly every single position on the depth chart.

TLDR...the situation here is a meh QB and an arm chair GM's fantasy roster with almost 21 studs in the lineup.  Once that $250m contract actually kicks in and it becomes logistically impossible to keep the stacked roster completely intact, the party is over.  So ignore whether or not you can win a SB with this situation.  The concern is how long the situation can be maintained...and the answer is not very long.

You can win a SB with a participant system QB, but you can't pay them $250m.

Moore sucks. The passing game was better under Brian Johnson.

moral victories

But it wasn't a moral victory. We actually got a real victory. Moral victories are "we played out hearts out even in a loss". We actually won.

I’ve been thinking about that…. Where we want to go we want to beat everybody anyway, so it doesn’t really matter

Hurts looked like a QB who hasn't played in nearly a month, it's why I wanted him to get some reps against the Giants, and that would have the side benefit of giving Barkley a shot at the record

Our defense is a new defense. Our offense has its skill players. Very different team than the one Tampa was lucky to see earlier in the year.

The Bowles vs Hurts matchup is still a concern. Agree there for sure.

It would be a little interesting to come out with a 2 QB rotation like we used to do when Vick was working his way back. Im not sure its possible for Tampa to prepare for the Hurts offense, and then still be ready to stop the potency of a McKee passing attack with these weapons.

It may have been it still wasn’t where it should be. It’s been an issue the last two years. This passing game shouldn’t be this hard to get going with the receivers and tight end and now Barkley added into it. Frankly some of it has been hurts just hasn’t been good enough. And some of it is Moore hasn’t exactly set the world on fire either

I think every eagles fan was asking the same thing .

Ertz is still productive.

these are mostly unfounded criticisms. Other videos disprove them. Of course, there may occasionally be a play where the proper defense is called and the defense plays it perfectly. Though you cant tell if thats the case from this snap shot, but if so, there also seems to be plenty opportunity for Hurts to take off running here.

ertz

Two wins away from being a winning franchise all time.

Tbh i think Bucs are a hit or miss team. Can be the team that loses to Dallas and falcons (with a bad cousins) and tough games vs. a bad saints team down a ton of players. Or can come out play like they did against the chargers. They are very inconsistent. They have 10 wins but should’ve been closer to 12-13 if they played better against lesser teams

Man Daniele is already good, we are going to have our hands full with that team for quite some time.

Again i think that still brings up the question is moore not that good or is he limited by Hurts. This is almost every year except one that the eagles had to go run heavy because the pass game cant get going.

I’m not going down this whole hertz thing with you. hurts did not play well today. And he’s had a problem in the passing game most of the season. However, I would argue Kellen Moore has had some of his own issues. He’s not absolved. For instance calling a 3rd down and 5 play with the lead blocker is devonta Smith with a back problem and throwing a 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage trying to get the first down. That was what the play call called for. It was a bad play.
