As ugly as that seemed yesterday at times, the combo of good running game, dominant defense, and limited mistakes is a winning formula.

Is there another team left in NFC with a better defense than the packers?

Lions allowed more yards per game but fewer TDs over the season.  Same for the Vikings.  So the answer is yes.

It's not the whole story but gameplans do seem to get a little weird when you start off with a ST turnover in your favor, it's like they wanted to see how much they could let the pack beat themselves

The Eagles. 🤪

Just stopped in to learn how badly we were beaten and how badly everybody played.

By all accounts, very badly.

Mike Schmidt was so right.

Not Nolan, he set the edge so hard he knocked out their best OLmen, had 2 sacks, 2 TFLs was around the ball all the time, just plays with a ton of energy. He did this from basically a 3 DE rotation… definitely has become a guy who can be counted on.

Milton wrecked the backup G so badly, the Packers had to pull him.

The back seven produced a boatload of INTs, and brought out the body bags.

Vic pitched a shutout in the 1st half, weathered the storm and the offense did enough to close the game.

We executed our formula of excellent D, no turnovers, and Saquon rushing the ball.  Post bye we've gone 13-1 using that formula.

I don't think I'd call the Lions defense good. The games that their offense doesn't get them out to a big lead they seem to struggle versus competent teams. Last game versus the Vikings is hard to judge because Darnold looked like a complete fraud and couldn't hit anyone.

I thought everyone but Hurts played great.

Look, I’m not a "hater” but at some point players are what they are. This season, Hurts has not been a good passer, and this game was microcosm of this.

He made poor decisions, was indecisive, held the ball too long, etc. for the majority of the game.

To his credit, he made plays late to get us the win. The problem is this won’t fly vs the Lions. If our QB goes cold for the better part of 3 quarters, we are going to lose.

It’s really all on his shoulders because the defense is vicious, the OL is tremendous, Barkley is the best non QB player in the NFL, and for my money Brown is the best WR in the NFL while both Smith and Goedert are talented enough to be primary options in a passing game.

So it all comes down to Hurts. If he just plays consistent solid football, I don’t think anyone can beat us. If not, we won’t get past the Lions.

Yikes, Bryce Huff played 1 snap.

Why are people treating this AJ Book thing like he was doing sit-ups in the Driveway, lol.  The Book is now selling like hotcakes on Amazon, lol.  I'm sure the Author is going to be happy.

I really do hate Philly media and most Eagles fans. Bunch of gossip girls.

That no talent bum has no place to talk about anything Philadelphia!  And you can just STFU too! 🙂

I know right, it wasn't that serious.  I'm just laughing because that Author must be on Cloud 9.  His book shot to #1 in multiple categories now, lol.   AJ should start a Book Club, lol.

Milton Williams, 43 snaps. Jordan Davis, 13 snaps.

I know they aren't interchangeable players but Milton Williams role on this team is massive. Yes, Moro Ojomo has played more as evident with 23 snaps, but we're fooling ourselves if we think he can make the same impact Williams does.

Gotta bring back Williams.

So he just happened to have a book with him on the sidelines… of course it was planned.

He's had that book all year on the sideline, it was confirmed by media and his teammates.

His teammates are aware of the book and how he reads it, they call it the " recipe" apparently, what would you rather he do on the sideline sitting on the bench? Smitty was next to him just chilling with a coat on, is that bad good? If brown wants to do sodoku on the sideline cuz it helps him focus who cares, its not like he was looking at porn on the sideline.

Of course the media is going to make more out of it than it is

If Brown had 150 yards and 2 tds and was reading his book on the sideline would it be a problem or causing drama?

Dudes an all pro ,again, playing on a team that throws the ball like 20 times a game eagles wom a hard fought playoff game and people want to cause drama over him reading an inspirational passage on the sideline.

No drama except what the stupid philly media makes.

Show me one example of the media making drama. They asked him about it, and that’s it. Wouldn’t you if given the chance?

It was an unusual act that’s never happened before. He can say he does it every game all he wants. He doesn’t or it wouldn’t have been a new thing. He himself even said he knew people would think it was him being frustrated. So if he wants to do something he knows people will interpret as being frustrated, then that’s his prerogative.

If he wants to troll the media, troll away. I’m just saying he has to and does know what comes with that. More questions about why he’s doing whatever he’s doing.

Such a waste.  Really sucks that BG got hurt.

I knew Bruce Huff was invincible but didn’t realize he was 1 snap all game invisible. What a disaster he’s been.

Correct. Right or wrong he definitely knows what he’s doing. Can’t blame the media for asking you about your antics.

At this point, rather than expecting Jalen to become a passer - I’m just hoping he can continue to take care of the ball AND stop taking the drive ending sacks. Run towards the sticks, throw it away - just avoid the insurmountable negative play.

Anyone else thinking Shaq Barrett is regretting his decision to join Tampa? Have to assume he did it for tax reasons, no way he thought they had a better shot at winning a SB than us or Detroit.

We were so clearly the better team and won by double digits. But it "didn't look pretty"

Not only the better team but the more physically dominant. Which is a theme for them. A good one.

Fairly obvious but still sucks for him.

Hopefully Vic can do something to help out Burks because he will be the target all game long next week.

They allowed 37 TDs this season, tied for 4th fewest in the league.   342 yards per game.  By comparison,  the Eagles allowed 33 TDs and 278 yards per game.  Lions D is good.
