The second and third picks were both godawful throws, the commentators would've been merciless with other QB's for making those throws.

The more I watch Milton Williams, the more I think you gotta keep him. He's young and home grown. Unless he gets some insane contract offer. Keep him, Baun, and most of your defense is in tact for the foreseeable future. Dean will get an extension too at some point. Sweat is probably a question and obviously Slay.

I’m trying to remember…

We never once went pass play out of the push sneak? Not once?

If snap counts are any indication, they’re prioritizing him over Davis at DT.

Fran went in on Moore today

Well it's Hurts' fault that Moore sucked so

There are multiple times he says "no one’s open” when there are, in fact, people open.  This is the NFL. A step means you’re open.

The most obvious example is below. The RB is WIDE open underneath with plenty of space for him to run into, catch, and then try to make a play for the first down, yet he says "no one’s open.”

Even worse, it’s 2nd and 4, so even if the RB is stopped short you have another 2 plays to get a yard or two.

He threw that to Goedert and Goedert was tackled before the ball got to him.  You can't blame Hurts or Goedert for that play. It was an egregious missed call.  He could have thrown to Gainwell who would have had to run for the sticks but his decision was fine.  The  only play I saw where he missed someone was in the Red Zone.  He was late coming off the first read and missed an open Smith in the flat.

Not good.

Some of the Carter videos I've seen posted in here show Williams being doubled almost as often.  I'd like to see the double-team rate for the Eagles DL.

Agreed.

My point is that he’s saying no one was open. But people WERE open. He literally pointed at the RB saying "no one’s open” when there wasn’t a defender within 7 yards of him.

Which is why I said he needs to play better, like he did in some games this season. He didn't play well yesterday and they still won.

I would say Green Bay lost yesterday more than we won.

They really could dink and dunk down the field with those receivers and TE, mix in screen to Barkley and they could go over 300 passing yards a game fairly easily.

They have all those weapons and the top RB.

The Packers DC did a great job of adjusting to the Eagles game plan after the first couple of drives. While the Eagles O was patchy, gotta give the Packers D credit for making them patchy. The Packers O problem was Love turning the ball over and the OL getting injured or benched and WRs getting injured; the Eagles D deserves a lot of credit for being relentless and making that happen. The no 1 D vs the no 5 D played out as it did. A very tough O day

Can see the wheel on play 5

Yeah that's something he could've pulled the trigger on. Once it was clear the corner wasn't peeling off DG, then put it just past the pylon and let Barks try to make a play. Pretty standard post-wheel combo and while he wasn't wide open in the conventional sense, you still gotta see if he can come down with it singled up on a LB. The thing I hate most about this play design is Smitty on the orbit motion terminating in the flat. Like, you can't have your second best WR drag back or even pivot back before stopping? AJ ends up being pseudo bracketed (because of the motion pulling a defender into the passing window) so the second read's DOA. Dotson's on a fade but by the time Hurts get to him, he's already hit his dead end on the boundary, and then he bails a clean pocket and the play's chances drop to zero.

Did anyone notice Josh Sweat last night? Nolan Smith, Jalen Carter, Milton Williams and Moro Ojomo were the DL making plays. Williams and Baun are the priorities. Becton is a bonus if you can get it done.

The only thing I remember was a pitch to Barkley

Both of the INTs were good defense.  For the Slay INT, I am guessing Love threw it when the WR was even with Slay and he thought he would get a step on him.  The WR did not but the ball was terribly placed.  Baun was behind the TE, Kraft when Love threw it but he was watching Love's eyes.  Love just didn't see Baun at all but it wasn't an easy INT.  It was a great play.

I found it comical that folks would post a Orlovsky breakdown to prove that Kellen Moore is the problem, when Orlovsky doesn't even know where his own end zone ends -- much less in-depth study of route concepts and spacing.

Yeah, Slay's pick was horribly underthrown. By the time he turned to find it, the ball just about fell into his lap. I bet he was as surprised as anyone.

I wasn’t particularly happy with his run defense, Jordan Love can be difficult to get to so I’ll give Sweat a pass there.

Oh ok, we'll just take your word for it instead then I guess?

They can win next week with Hurts playing at baseline.  To win the SB, he'll have to play over his head as a passer (which he has done and other QBs have done...it's only 2 games) in the NFCCG and SB.

They can win with him kicking the ball around next week, but after that...they need 2 games of good passing Hurts.

That was the same play as the first TD pass of the season, iirc.   Back then, he threw it up to Barkley and let him go get it.   Which he did.   TD Eagles... and the Barkley era was underway.
