I’ll take that all day. The LB can drive on the pass, but he’s going to get there late against Gainwell who is running full speed away from him.

Even if the LB manages to make the tackle, you’re looking at 3rd and 1 or so.

On that play what stop in the progression was Gainwell?

I agree, but it’s not the particular throw,  just the fact that Stanford trusts his guys to make plays. Hurts is scared to turn the ball over.
