No strawman, I realize that’s not exactly what you are saying.  But still, I have trouble putting too many eggs in that basket.

Yup. I love becton but i also think stoutland wanted steen in the draft because he believed he could be a starter. I kind of think the eagles cause they have stoutland and they have steen that they’d be more willing to extend Baun and Williams over becton unless they get becton at their price. 

Get this out of the way. Eagles are keeping Milton Williams and Baun. These are core pieces. Jordan Davis probably gets squeezed with this core. Unless he signs cheap down the road. Becton and Sweat are likely odd men out this year. They are more replaceable with Steen and Nolan Smith emergence. They will draft DE high this year and or trade for Garrett/Crosby.

Steen looked pretty good in the games he played this year, I wouldnt be surprised to see eagles let Becton walk in FA.

RGIII looked like the next coming. I was nervous as hell about him being in the division. Daniels looks good, but I'm not buying the hype at all yet. 

Are the vikings the worst 14 win team ever? Eagles thump either one of these teams.

Puka will deliver his share of annoying moments for us next week.  He went 9 for 117 against us but considering how good the secondary set the bar all year, it kind of felt like 18 for 224.

Jalen Hurts is a unique QB. He's not a plug & play player. It requires a coordinator who understand his strengths, and yes limitations, to build around that. A lot of coordinators want him to fit into their system and it doesn't work.

I'll use Zack Baun as an analogue to this. He wouldn't be a great LB in a lot of other systems, but he's a monster for Fangio. Scheme matters.

The Vikings are exactly what we thought they were coming into the season.  Garbage.  Darnold is, and always has been, garbage.  Getting completely embarrassed tonight.  Bring on the Rams.

If the Eagles didn’t have Jeff Stoutland and they didn’t invest the third round pick in steen, I think Becton would be much higher on their priority list to bring back. The Eagles trusted Jeff Stoutland to build up becton. They also trusted him when drafting Tyler Steen. So I tend to think unless they can get becton at a price they are OK with that they would go with the cheaper alternative in steen. Imo they trust stoutland to have him playing at that level in year 3.

Too cold to open the roof, that’s a shame.
