I remember that draft and I had him in all my uninformed mocks,he just seemed to fit all the things eagles look for in a DL.

Hes really blossomed next to Carter and in Vics defense, having said that I also really loved Jordan Davis in the draft but in retrospect not wise spending a top 15 pick on a NT for 20 snaps a game☹️

In the draft itself, 3rd round is certainly a no-mans land for QBs…but it is a high enough pick that anyone you draft there you probably want to see what they can do.

Lane is the lone man standing from the top of his draft class. Ertz, Slay, and Kelce are the other guys from that draft still playing at a high level 

The tag was placed and released on Simon and Trotter, IIRC.  Not sure if they placed and used a franchise tag on anyone in ages.

I don't know if I would draft a Cali kid and bring him to the East Coast. 

When is the last time that worked out? Carson Palmer but he only won one playoff game with the Bengals in 7 years

And another 4-5 came on the Reed catch and run on 1st and 20. I'd say over half of them came on those two plays alone, both after the defense had been on the field repeatedly as the offense kept going 3 and out
